Wonderful entertainment for my steak dinner. I look forward to hearing more of this juicy storytelling. My players just faced off against the first troll in the Trollfeast hills. Is the creature corner of them in one of the few remaining homes in the dilapidated an abandoned hamlet of Yondol. It was one hell of a fight (4 hours long). Thankfully, the cleric days prior commune with his goddess, and knew that fire was going to be important for some reason. That being said he had an old scroll of Wyvern watch from a crypt they sacked weeks prior, that was able to tip the fight in the beginning. In the end, they burned the body and kept the head as they know there’s a bounty back in town for troll heads. They’ve got about a weeks travel back, but what they don’t know is trolls can regrow their bodies slowly. I think they’ll end up thinking around in the hamlet for a while deciding what things they wish to take and manage their weights carefully for the road ahead. There are a few encounters left in the hamlet. We’ll see if they end up triggering them..
Good stuff, Joe. Tim Shorts site is cool and it looks like he is offering a ton of cool mini-adventures. I might have to try that out.

I wish my players made more use if one shot scrolls. They always seem to want to save them to scribe into their spell books
