    Furthering my relationship with the Akai Force through continued learning and relearning the things that I haven't spent enough time with on the machine. The arranger was a major change for version 3.0.5 and continues to be one of the biggest enhancements as well as technology innovations for a beat production machine. It pushed this machine into the unknown country, leaving behind the competition. No other machine on the market has this feature. So might as well get deeper and go hard.

    Great info thanks, not sure if it's already been commented but if you press shift and rec. It automatically records to arrangement. Just a quick shortcut that I have learnt this week. Hope it's useful

    Thanks for the video.
    I wish they give us more than just 6 locator marker - that just don't make no kind of sense.
    Also you can just press the clip button as shortcut to the arranger after you set it there from the clip edit window.
    Keep up the great Force demos! ✌🏾

      Yes most songs need more than 6. If I have to make a change to the outro or bridge it’s a little problem unless I use loop mode. Thanks for watching!!! And the clip button tip!!!

    Thanks for the video. I’ve most def been sleeping on the arranger. Mostly been doing everything in Ableton. This video has inspired me to take another look. ☮️

      It is inspiring for sure. It had me rethinking how I build songs for sure. Once I get use to the button commands I’m sure it will be easier. Then I can move it right into Ableton and do some finishing touches.

    Bought the force to record sounds on a Computer DAW, like cubase, GarageBand, FLSudio.

      How is it going for you?

    • @jeanlouiscoquin3743

      @@Ast3rixMusic it’s very simple for me to use the Force as a sound module, or a sequencer for the purpose to place samples on a computer DAW. For the moment I think the arranger on the Akai is complicated.

    • @Ast3rixMusic
      @Ast3rixMusic  Před rokem

      @@jeanlouiscoquin3743 It's not that bad you just have to get use to it. I build a performance first with the pads by row. Once I am ready to move to arrangement I play my parts into the arranger. I can cut and paste or remove things I don't need. It is just like a regular DAW arranger process. Screen is challenging to use when editing because of the size of things. I like the speed I can quickly pull something together with the force. Only thing I don't like is that I can't record the dj like effects part of my performance. I don't even know how that would even be possible to allow that with track separation. Otherwise it's great!!

    So many gems, thank you sister. How do you un-snap the white loop bar to move freely?

    • @Ast3rixMusic
      @Ast3rixMusic  Před rokem +1

      If you have loop activated there will be a button that shows up at the bottom of the screen. Otherwise you can move around the arrangement. The recording process is affected by the loop button. If you deselect it and move to a location you should be able to start recording from that spot.

      @@Ast3rixMusic Thank you Queen, my biggest issue with the loop function is if I move it under the next bar it snaps to a full bar.
      Can I set the white loop bar halfway or a quarter length before the next bar?

    Great video! I love your use of locators ! I personally moved exclusively to standalone music production when I got the FORCE and cannot see myself turning back to computer based workflows ; i literally play in everything rather than manual drawing or triggering to me its quite satisfying seeing everything come together like a lego house and I agree with repetition you get used to all the quirks of the unit and get pretty fast along the way.

      Yes I use it heavily for the creation process and it is becoming more clear every time I sit down and try the new features that I was sleeping on.
      I’m working out how to use my guitar with it now and hope to have a hands free solution soon. Fingers crossed that I get the system exclusive to work.

      @@ZiwaHD LOL come on you know you own some of them 29 dollar specials like all of us. Them things turn into 200 or more with that WUP plan. I have been complaining about the WUP plan personally. When your a Mac user change is just something you have to deal with every year. No other company charges for OS changes except waves. I still use Ableton in my workflow, but I start with the force.

      Once you get use to the workflow it’s not bad. I’m working on learning the pads features which use progressions, chords etc these are things I never ever use. I’m trying to master this machine. I have been busy this week but plan to post something this week walking through that whole process from the standpoint of a person who plays everything direct to disk. I have been heavily using my circle of fifths wheel to make things work. Lol had to go back to school with this feature.

      I have Ableton and use it all the time. This step is the first part of my process and normally I just build out my launch sequences and move it over, but sense I am learning more about the force I thought I would just share this step. Using dj effects and having physical control is kinda nice. I can do all of this stuff directly in Ableton. I use the force as a tracking method. It allows me to have a latency free experience when I am playing direct to disk. Only samples in this song are the vocals.
