    Hi , I found this video by accident! This is amazing. I also have a camper van like yours being conversion in China. Thanks for the video, it gave me a lot of inspiration!

    Father and Daughter bonding, and on the job learning. Way to go. It's something I wish I had with my own kids.

    I love that you are teaching her as she does it. This will give her knowledge she never knew she needed. Well done!

    Looks like the van build is going great! Being its a Promaster and not a Sprinter is the overall weight going to be an issue? All that wood looks like it will add up in the end. One of the CZcams van builders I follow using Sprinter vans, Adys and Eddie, use aluminum for most of the interior structural work. The Chinese diesel heaters are great. I have one in my boat. I bought the 'Afterburner' control unit from Ray Jones in Australia. You can control it via bluetooth or wifi with your phone.

      We've heard about those control units, sounds pretty cool! This one came with a little remote that seems to work well. Overall, I think we did pretty well on the weight - all of the wood is cedar, so pretty light overall. Heaviest item is probably the water tank when it's full.

    Can I ask what brand of sensor did you use for the water tank and are you happy with it? SV Cariba

      @artsmith103 Před 3 lety

      I don't know what the RV world likes, but a company named Efector makes a wide range of sensors.

    • @AdventureAdriftSailing
      @AdventureAdriftSailing  Před 3 lety

      We used this one amzn.to/35TAGDM -no issues with it so far!

    • @artsmith103
      @artsmith103 Před 3 lety

      I doubt you can beat $40 from Amazon but here is the Efector level info. Typically plastic or Teflon with no moving parts. Some require plastic tank, some require metal tank. Depends on grounding.

    Now you know why the interior work is the most expensive part of a boat build.

    Hi, y'all! I'm glad to see you in videos again! When I tried to start a Captain Who sailing channel, you invited me to come sail a bit with you, which I appreciated very much. My mental health wasn't (and isn't) suitable for traveling much, though, so I reluctantly had to decline. I was also unable to go sailing much, so I didn't keep going with my Captain Who channel. However, I found something else to do, and make a CZcams channel around, which doesn't require me to do any traveling: Treadmill Sprinter (www.TreadmillSprinter.com redirects to my CZcams channel). It may not be something you're interested in, but if you have eclectic interests, maybe you'll like it. And I just released a lighthearted Treadmill Halloween Masquerade video a couple of days ago.
    I'm looking forward to seeing more of your van building videos!
