Woo hoo! Snowbirds!!!! Congrats, what a special opportunity! Can’t wait to see you on the airshow circuit!! Also congrats on the channel! Can’t thank you enough for the advice and time spent sharing the building tips and knowledge. Just finished my RV-8 rudder last week!
Congratulations on 1 year of great videos and being accepted as a Snowbird pilot. From an RV-4 builder and a Retired Hornet Handler ! (MWO Ret'd in 2015 after 31 years). Cheers
a colleague of mine is a major airshow nerd. He was at Dayton in 2003 for the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first flight (their home town). All the teams were there. Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, Snowbirds and some teams from Europe. In general the crowd was not familiar with the Snowbirds and they were blown away. Not as much noise and flash as the afterburning airplanes, but a much better paced show, more airplanes, always in view, great formations and presentation, a beautify airborne ballet. He told me they got the best reaction out of ALL the teams. I can believe it. I just hope they can keep the Tutor going. I'll be 60 next year and I think they will too. No way they can we afford 9 of anything else. It is perfect for that job. Good luck.
Congratulations Stu i’ve been watching your channel for about six months now I live in the US in Arizona and I’ve got an RV4 kit in storage I am going to pull it out and finish building it so I’m really excited about watching your progress
Congratulations on being selected. My friend from my college days was team lead many years back. You are one of the select few now. Hopefully you can keep us up to date on your journey through your videos.
WOW congratulations Stu on both the 1 year anniversary of this channel and of course your selection as a Snowbird Team pilot. You must be so thrilled. That is quite an achievement. Very happy for you and of course very envious. Looking forward to one day meeting you. I live in Atlanta but born and raised in Montreal and went through the RCAF aircrew selection process in Downsview Ontario in 1967. I was accepted as navigator (don’t even know if that still exists today) but I foolishly rejected the offer since I had my heart set on pilot training. Ah well I’ll know better in my next life!! On another subject: wanted to know the part no of the clickbond fasteners you use and where you get them. Aircraft Spruce just has a few types. Just looked at SkyGeek.... they stock more but from what I see they sell as individual parts snd not as kits.
Another year Stu, nice way to end it with the culmination of a long chain of effort achieving your long life dream with your new posting to Snowbirds, is it the 431sqaudran? Congratulations, I've always had a soft spot for our Roulette's here in Australia and appreciate the level you will be operating at, fantastic. I will be following along on the ride to completion of your 4 build intensely even though we will be hunkering down as we're are close to ordering our 8 so I hope to see a little cross referencing to the 8 during the 4 build that would be nice for us and others too I hope. I'm a grandparent and really enjoy those kid moments immensely, thanks for sharing that and it is really all about the kids in the long run. Don't forget that truck, you know "happy wife happy..."
Big Congrats! I have several friends that were on the team that I’ve met over the years at airshows. Didn’t realize you were a mil dude! I had several RCAF pilots in my pilot training class at ENJJPT.
Wow!! That's absolutely awesome! Congratulations. Late bloomer here...got my PPL at age 66 last year so not sure if I'll get a call-up for the tryouts :). BTW, if you have a moment, check out my tribute to Capt. Jenn Casey from back in the Spring...that one hit us aviators hard!
Congratulations on the snowbirds selection. My family always enjoys seeing them at air shows. Hopefully we will see you at the Abbotsford air show in 2022.
Congratulations Stu on making the Snowbirds. Hope to meet you down in Nova Scotia during the Airshow season of 2022. Do you know what number you will be?
Congratulations on your selection, airshows are a new world with a team like that! I spent a few years with the Blue Angels as their technical advisor. Great memories!
Wow, that is absolutely killer you got a spot on the team! Childhood dream come true for sure. I was hoping to be posted out there as an ACS to get a chance to have a spot as a tech. If we cross paths I'll be sure to say hi. All I've gotten done so far on the Sonerai are the rib forms, but I should have all the ribs done by the end of winter.
