The no arm tackle thing has gone stupid. Yes its silly and reckless of Vunipola but in mitigation it didn't even connect properly with anyone. I thought a yellow would suffice, and a red only if it makes a decent connection with an opponent.
His intention was to smash the guys head. He got lucky he missed. Sanction should be the same. No place for that in the game.

You forget our stadiums are 50k seaters so our attendance is about the same as yours in these early rounds, it just looks empty. Also, half of our fans live in Europe now. No one wants to live in SA anymore

There were 15k people there, that's more than most premiership matches played in England bruv.
15000 poeple in attendance at loftus stadium which has 51000 capacity Saracens stadium in London England has capacity of 10 500.Also it's December school holidays so lot of poeple gone away on holiday to cape Town and coastal locations for fantastic beaches and sun or to kurger national park on holiday etc.

What a pity we had to have the usual low class gom-gatte booing kickers and casting shade on an otherwise great performance. Something we are used to seeing from French and Argentinian crowds, but disappointing to see that elements of the Loftus crowd still aren’t able to display sportsmanship nor respect the spirit of the game. The players and rugby loving spectators deserve better, that’s why I don’t go to Loftus with my sons anymore. It’s unpleasant.
Seemed like a poorly attended match as well. It would have been jam-packed twenty years ago if an elite northern hemisphere club side had come to town.

@@theofilusbouwer3430 As I said, this is something we expect from Argentina and France. Because it happens elsewhere you think it’s ok? There is a reason that so many people don’t attend Loftus games anymore. Visit any other stadium in the country and you will find a much friendlier environment that you can take your family to without having to deal with the inebriated louts.
Those people are queueing to get refunds for the money they spent watching SA teams be a no show at the first 5 rounds of the comp.. (and I'm S African).
If the Northern-Southern hemisphere divide means home team will have an easy win 90% of the time.. this comp might struggle to gather interest. I hope that's not the case

The SA teams have been included only for financial reasons. The SA clubs cannot live without this competition. Where is the public in the stadiums...!? You dont realize that the TV Cameras are on the same side as the Main pavilion where most of the crowed is sitting.
I'm all for Norther V Southern hemisphere teams playing, its something ive wanted for ages. But whilst some European clubs are struggling with finances so greatly, it doesnt sit well seeing non european teams in European games. Nothing against the Bulls, they were great, and I'd love to see a better format, that is more sustainable for all teams
I'd love to know how southern hemisphere teams are taking money from struggling northern hemisphere clubs, especially when they play them in competitions that generate revenue for them in home matches.
@davesmith826 last season 3 Premiership teams folded, Welsh rugby is on a knife edge. Teams that could lap up the extra money from playing un the top European competitions. I completely understand that South African teams were escaping potential troubles in Super Rugby and wish them the best, I love diversity in playstyle they offer. But when some core historic European teams are vanishing or on the brink of falling apart, it's a really difficult situation

Maybe, those nations need to do more to grow the game in their own back yard, and they may stand the test of time. Blaming their collapses on the Saffa’s is just deflecting the blame to where it actually belong.
We enrich both these competitions and have breathed much needed life into them. Yeah, we aren’t European, but you are better off having us compete with you
