- At 17 years old, Joni Eareckson Tada dove into shallow water and broke her neck which left her paralyzed from the shoulders down. After 50 years of quadriplegia, Joni’s depth of faith and faithfulness to Jesus has inspired millions of people. She joins the podcast today to talk about how suffering with paralysis and chronic pain has brought her closer to Christ, and caused her to continually focus her heart on gratefulness throughout bouts of depression and despair.

I suffer from a neck injury that causes severe headaches, face pain, back pain and burning in my hands and feet. The pain has been off the chart this week with no relief. My friend sent me this video and Joni ministered to me in a mighty way. My Savior is with me in this pain.
💔🫂
Im sorry for all the pain you have been going through. But as you said the Lord sees your pain and he will give you the peace and strength to endure. Remember the blessed promise in Romans 8:28 how God works ALL things out for good. Never give up my friend, the Lord is always with you. God Bless You
God Bless YOU!❤❤
God bless you, dear one. And thank you, Joni, for your faithful and beautiful witness to God’s goodness in all moments
God bless you, dear one. And thank you, Joni, for your faithful and beautiful witness to God’s goodness in all moments
Joni is beautiful inside and out. What a day it will be for her when she receives her forever glorified body!
I was saved in the theater watching Joni’s movie. My first date with my husband. He led me to the Lord after the movie in his car. I will be always so grateful to Joni for her obedience in making that movie. Her life story changed my life. 🙌❤️ God is faithful!
I have suffered from depression and severe back pain for most of my life. I am now 76. God is drawing me closer and closer to Jesus through my situation. Thank you so much for sharing Joni's testimony and wisdom! How it has uplifted me today.
"God permits what He hates, to accomplish what He loves." What a great description of the reason why the good news, is good news, for rebellious, wrath deserving sinners, who turn from rebellion, to receiving & trusting Jesus.
Also that I beilive is the perfect definition of the Sovereignty of God over all things
Understanding suffering takes a maturing beyond yourself. Joni floors us all.
indeed
Yes 🙌😊
I am just so ... beyond words after listening to Joni. When she said, "I welcome the pain because it's the gash through which more grace will pour into my life" I was so convicted, humbled and inspired. We all have struggles and pain, some temporary, some ongoing - would that we all walk in such grace and humility as Joni does.
Amen.

As a 76 year old polio survivor I rejoice in the truth of finding the Lord Jesus in pain and suffering. Joni's testimony is an inspiration that is beyond words.
I was 15 years old. I did the exact same thing..came up out of the water in shock but had movement in my appendages.
I was in a neck brace for 3 or 4 weeks before I could move. I thank God worse didn't happen.
But I've been aware of Joni's story since '78 and she has been a light of love and a beacon of endurance in Christ. I thank God for Joni.
I could tell that Joni was in a lot of pain. I am a 66 year old man and have been struggling with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome CRPS according to the McGill Pain Chart is the most painful disease known to medical science. The nerve pain that Joni mentioned sounds like some of the pain I have and have struggled with for 8 years. I just want to let Joni know that I cried for her and I prayed for her. She is a real Trooper of our faith. I look forward to meeting her someday in Heaven. I am in a nursing home because of CRPS going on 3 years now. I will be so happy when my time comes. Thank you Joni.Tony St. Louis Missouri.
God bless you!❤
God give you His grace and ongoing supernatural peace❤
A Blessed Christmas 🎄 ❤
Pain is a torture in this world but a blessing for the next.
My son has terrible pain and I try to massage his legs to help but knowing I’m not making any difference other than he knows I’m here for him, breaks me.
I want to help but can’t it’s heartbreaking.
I cried for Joni and I’m crying for you.
I wish there was a cure for terrible pain. One which doesn’t have awful side effects or addictive qualities.
Prayer is so difficult when one can’t even think straight due to excruciating pain.
May God take your pain away and heal you now.
By the Grace of God our Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 🙏🏻
Tony, have a look into Dr.Sarno’s books.
I have a similar issue and found his books helpful and opened other doors of enlightenment.
He has passed on but his teachings are taught around the world and by doctors and specialists as well.
Be well, be blessed. 🙏
Had a bad car accident at 24, back vertebrae and ribs fractured. After seeing many specialists eventually saw a neurologist, said only hope for me is to pray. I was an atheist at that time, so prayer was kind of a shock to me. After 4 months of hell (severe pain) decided to give the prayer thing a try (many times a day). 5 months later woke up one morning, no lower back pain since then. Your body can't heal itself from that kind of damage, so it was a miracle. 🙏
Fantastic. Praise the Lord 🙌
Glad you are pain free…Is your soul saved? Have you repented and turned toward God through Jesus Christ? He is the only Saviour and way to God.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
I heard of her tragedy at the age 17 and I still believe that she has moved the mountains with her testimony !!
The Lord blessed me with this today. I was trying to distract myself from my pain right by scrolling aimlessly through my phone while mumbling, “I can’t do this, I can’t do this, I can’t do this.” And here I landed.
To God be the glory. How He loves us. 💔❤️🙏
Amen, Jesus IS there minute by minute in the pain. The deep waters will NOT drown us. 💔 Would I KNOW Him as I do without this pain? Would I know Him at all??? Jesus, You ARE worth it.
Amen, Sister, he is worthy!
Oh, how he loves you! Oh, how he loves me! Oh, how he loves you and me!

Kratom is so helpful for pain!! Good to talk to someone who knows about it and how to use it safely if meds are used too (naturopathic/holistic doctor).
I love Joni so much. I was blessed to meet her and sit with her and a mutual friend at an event many years ago. Joni was instrumental in giving me the courage to say yes to a life-saving surgery 37 years ago. I was familiar with her and her ministry ever since I was in high school. So when the neurosurgeon’s words were, you have a couple of weeks to live with no surgery or you'll be a complete quadriplegic on a respirator for life with surgery, I chose surgery. I prayed, "If You can use Joni in a wheelchair, then you can use me too." A miracle happened, and I have quadriparesis and breathe on my own. It's so much better than what they predicted, and I have stayed so grateful, that my disability has been easy to handle. The chronic, debilitating, excruciating pain has been hard. But all things are possible through Christ my Lord. My light and momentary afflictions are nothing compared to surpassing glory that is to come. I shout AMEN to every word Joni shared. Our mutual friend Tawana is now with Jesus. She had less mobility than Joni and weaned herself off a ventilator twice. She is incredible and we had planned to write a book together but God called her home 2 years ago. We spoke every week for an hour and encouraged one another, and I miss her spunky tenacity and absolute reliance on Jesus through everything that goes with being a quad.
Thank you for having Joni on your show. Thank you, Joni, for sharing so authentically. One day, you, Tawana, and I will skip across heaven together.❤

Dear Judy, I am sorry for the loss of your friend, Tawana. Yes, you both will be skipping and jumping in Heaven! I am also sorry for your pain and loss of mobility. Although I don’t know you, I am proud of your resilience to live through your suffering with a positive outlook, perspective and attitude, as well as your open and grateful heart to receive the love, grace, truth and promises of our Heavenly Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I pray that you are healed, in the Mighty and Precious Name of Jesus. ‘The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.’ Until we meet in Heaven, God bless you, my sister in Christ🩸👑✝️🙏❤️🔥
I am awed by your courageous decision and willingness to live with disability. I'm ashamed to say that I don't know if I would have had the courage to chose the surgery. God bless you!

Joni and I are the same age and I have followed her ministry all these years. Yet I have been on my feet living an independent life with all the experiences and activities that allowed me; hiking, skiing, racquetball, kayaking, and running. But now, in our 70's, her depth and rich relationship with Jesus is worth more than any experience my physical freedom allowed me. Thank you Joni for your faithfulness to Jesus which has meant so much to my life. See you in heaven where we will both see our Lord face to face.
Thank you, Joni. I'm 80+ years and have fallen down about 16 times after a stroke in 2015. The worst fall broke my back and I stayed in a hospital bed at home for a month. At this time a close relative sat on the sofa , himself in pain, speaking al manner of lies about me. Then I knew Jesus's Golgotha. After loving us so, healing so many, restoring sight, hearing, and sound mind to those around Him , this miserable humanity of ours tortured, lied about him and, yes, crucified Him. My own betrayal gave me the honour of identifying with my Saviour. I know you face His pain every day, yet ❤️🙏 your conquering smile is what draws me to you. I truly love you, Joni, and look forward to our heavenly encounter.
Me too, the same age. ❤
Yes, also being in much pain from a car wreak in my 20's, and now severe arthritis, I also can identify and am blessed by her bravery and positive impact on all our lives. We keep going in and through Christ, and His grace, looking forward to t the hope of heaven.

I’m one of those who had never heard her story. I just watched a movie called Me Before You for the first time ever, and I had no idea about the ending (assisted suicide). I left feeling so broken hearted, and angry at the message it glorified. This was such a timely episode, Alisa, and such a beautiful contrast to the world’s message of hopelessness in suffering. 💔 Thank you for this raw conversation!
I saw that movie and felt the same way 😢
I love how God works. What a contrast
Perfectly said.
Felt the same way after seeing that movie. The hopelessness without God.
There's a movie of Joni story. She played herself in the scene of her swimming accident.
As a senior citizen facing the possibility of homelessness I still have a DEEP inner peace and sense of security knowing that Jesus Christ will never leave me nor forsake me. Therefore, no matter the outcome, I AM BLESSED!
I pray that the Lord will shelter you with His light and peace no matter where you are right now...
I had the privilege of seeing you, Joni in Philadelphia many years ago. You sang a song that I never forgot! The words were, “ Heaven’s much nearer to me, and at times it is all I can see. He will say, “shall we dance? And our endless romance will be worth all the tears I have cried.” One of the things I can’t wait to see when I get to heaven, is you dancing with Jesus! My love & prayers are with you, dear sister in Christ. ❤
When I was 20 years old I took an extremely reckless dive off the roof of a two story apartment building into a very small swimming pool that had a maximum depth of 6 feet. By the Grace of God I cleared the bottom. When I became a Christian I repented of my arrogance. Of course I have a testimony of my own, but this is not the place to tell it. I am the same age as Joni. I never tire of hearing her encouragement. Thank you for reminding me to be grateful.
I always get emotional when I hear her story! It opened my eyes when I was caught up in the "Word-of-faith" movement 💗I had 2 breast cancers and severe domestic violence that ended in 17 broken bones. Became a Christian, and was injured badly recently, and was told "more faith" you'll get "Your miracle " as if everyone is entitled to one😪 I've already been healed of so much! Praise God for people like her, Costi Hinn, and CZcamsrs like you, that my eyes were opened🙌✝️👑🕊💗
Thankful to hear you are out of that movement - it is so harmful to people in pain!
@@rebekahearly1144Undoubtedly 🙌✝️👑🕊 BTW the reason I wasn't healing, is because I didn't know how to "take it easy " nothing to do with my faith!
Isn't that gross? I heard so much of that, then made a joke about What does PRAY HARDER mean? Do I need to ask someone to carry me to this place by my favorite lake where there are jagged rocks? If I get on my knees there, God will heal me?
No! These hoops people want us to jump through, the HUGE amount of people who never spoke to me again when I asked after probably 15 years of spending 24/7 in bed - I knew from my praying that God was saying no, but there's more. So I asked Please stop praying for healing. Pray I will know God's Will & be strong enough to do that thing.
People were horrified. It was kind of heart breaking that only my Mom would pray "Not my will, but Yours". This life is like a vapor. I am still often sad that I didn't get to be a Mom. Or do the ministry that I thought I was supposed to do. I felt like a pariah for a long time. It was like my Christian friends were afraid it was contagious. I'm sad to say, it was people who did not believe in God who stuck with me the longest. Except my incredible Mom.
I think we have the best miracle! Jesus! Anything else is nice, but it doesn't compare to belonging to Jesus. To knowing He was in worse pain - for us, because He loved and loves us. ❤️✝️ Thank you so much for your comment
🙏💞🌎🙏
Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!! Amen !!!
I'm tired of people telling me : " your breakthrough /miracle is just around the corner " ...where is it ? I'm still waiting for it ! Smh ...
such a great message to be truly grateful wherever you are , whatever you've been facing.
I'm struggling with depression , PTSD and severe anxiety and panic attacks and people would tell Me: God will deliver you !!!
Even though that can be true - it made me feel angry because He wasn't delivering me ..I'm still not delivered...
His deliverance is on HIS time table and not on ours and He can have a plan not to deliver me because HE has some purpose to accomplish while I go through my suffering.
would have been more helpful if someone told me to just focus on being GRATEFUL! IT CAN ALWAYS BE WORSE!!!
This message encouraged me and blessed me so much !
Thank you!!! 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶
I love Joni. God used her in our family’s life during one of the most difficult period of our lives, when my mom had cancer and died when we siblings were in our late teens and early twenties, AND we were all believers at that time (few months after becoming followers of Christ from being Buddhists since young). A Christian nurse gave us her music tape (pre-CD period) and we listened to it over and over again at the hospital. Her songs and story faith story really encouraged us to keep trusting Christ in the midst of our family’s ordeal and eventually the death of our mom just a few months later.
Joni came to the Philippines that year for a music tour and I was privileged to watch her. After the show I went to the front and gave her assistant a Letter I’ve written her to Joni to tell her how her life and music has helped us). A few months later I was surprised to received a personal reply from her. That was almost 40 years ago. And I am glad to see her still faithfully following our savior and still serving the body of Christ through her life, message and songs. Thank you Joni.
Oh how I love this woman! She is so real, so honest, so raw. She inspires me to keep putting one foot in front of the other despite my own endless physical pain and suffering. Thank you Lord for giving me Joni as a wonderful example of your grace and strength. Thank you that she inspires hope and endurance and encouragement.
Yes, LORD JESUS, Amen and Amen! To GOD be all the Glory!

I had the privilege of seeing Joni in NJ when I was in my twenties, I'm 70 now. She is such an inspiration to me. This morning, I woke up and my arthritis was giving me such pain and my ability to walk was hard. I was just about to complain, "Why me, Lord?" but before I did, I stopped and thought, "If Joni can put up with her suffering each day, then I can too, by the power of the Holy Spirit!" Then (as the Lord would have it and do a marvelous thing for me) I got onto CZcams and saw this video with Joni. It is just what I needed. Thank you Lord for speaking again to me through Joni.

When I was 12, I developed chronic debilitating pain and a plethora of symptoms. I had zero answers until a little over a year ago when I found out I have Lyme disease, 7 years after the initial pain began. Lyme has caused much damage in my body, but I am full of gratitude for how God has 'used what He hates to accomplish what He loves'. He is overwhelmingly and abundantly GOOD -- even when life is not. While I do hope and pray for healing in this life, I wouldn't go back and change a thing about all that I've endured. All thanks be to Him, who keeps us away from the edge all the time.

She was one of my first heroes, & I think of her almost daily, now that I've spent 30 years in bed or on a couch with illness. Amy Lynn, I'm so sorry to hear of your 30-year journey with illness. You might also find the works of Charlotte Elliott to be encouraging. You may be familiar with her hymn, "Just as I am without one plea" but what is lesser known is that she was an invalid most of her life into her 80s, often bedridden, and she wrote much on the topic of comfort for believers who suffer. May the Lord strengthen you in your suffering!

Her joy, love, and childlike deep trust in our Lord Jesus, despite the never-ending pain has always encouraged me. Thank you for clearly articulating the Gospel. (Also, your thoughtful “long” answers spoke deep in my heart.). I can’t wait for The Day when we can all dance and leap for joy and praise in the presence of our Savior, the King of kings.
Joni has put courage in my heart for as long as I have walked with Jesus. She helps me to endure bravely and even cheerfully.
She is just such an incredible blessing to this world and to me. I listened to her testimony and speeches again and again when I was dealing with Perinatal and Postpartum Depression and Anxiety that was consuming my life and made me feel like I was going to suffocate and die every single day for months. Her quote on “If these are splashovers of hell, what’s a splashover of Heaven? It’s not in the easy breezy moments. No. That’s not a splashover of Heaven. But it’s in the moments when you find Jesus in your splashover of hell.” Oh man, now I’M crying just remembering the comfort of those words. 😅
I have been a Christian for almost 40 yrs and know suffering but try to have faith in God's healing. I really needed to hear this podcast. I have never listened to to your podcast before. I suffer from Fibromyalgia and Sjogren's syndrome and a failed back surgery. I am always in pain, and it is hard to have a smile on my face all the time and I consider myself a joy filled person.
I have been serving God for 42 years now 50. I have L4/5 S1 dischernation by legs go numb suffer walking. Bedridden . But I will keep on . My painlevels is chronic. I will not give up. I feel you. Crying my eyes out.
The fact Joni apologized for taking a moment to collect herself as she honestly describes her pain humbles me greatly. No apology is never needed for that… yet she considers us and our feelings more than her own suffering.
Dear lady… you are a champion for Christ unlike most.
ive got damage to my c7 vertebre due to a car crash and beatings from ex husband, i can move a little bit and im trying to stop complaining about this and the daily pain but when i see and hear dear joni, helps me with this ,she's such a wonderful sister in Christ and a great inspiration to us all, able bodied and not! 😢🙏
I had to stop chopping broccoli for our dinner in the middle of this, that raw moment with Joni got me openly weeping. What an encouraging testimony from the middle of the fire.
This is so inspirational.Joni's attitude towards physical suffering has helped her to overcome walking by sight. Her faith in Christ has influenced me to increased my gratitude for God's goodness in my life. She has not only suffered for 50 years she is a servant of the Most High and has been victorious for 50 years.
Amen 👑
When I saw who your guest was I grabbed the tissues before I started to watch it! She has been an inspiration to me for so many years and to see how God has used her throughout her life is such a testimony to all who hear it!
Joni's testimony always deepens my understanding of God's grace. Thank you Joni for your love for Him.
My son Special needs went to her Joni and Friends Camp in Minnesota ..what a treat that was ❣️
At 37 had a rock climbing accident, injured back and right shoulder. Took 5 1/2 years for injury to heal completely. Prayed just like before, this time recovery took long. If you're in pain or your body has suffered damage, it's natural to want it to be fixed asap. But sometimes you have to be patient, just because you pray does not mean you’ll get instant healing. Guess that's where your faith plays a role.
I thank God I came across this. I absolutely needed it. Praise His Name!🙌🏼❤️ I can’t wait to meet Joni at the throne. Thank you.
She’s been an encourager during my own chronic pains. Grateful for her witness.
Joni is one of my greatest heroes in the faith and has given me a new perspective on suffering and helped me through many, many rough days. She doesn't know that, of course, but she has helped countless people. What a blessing! I praise God for her.
Joni has been an inspiration to me for a long time. I suffer from chronic illness and chronic pain. I have for over 30 years. It is not easy and some days my pain and limitations have me crying out to the Lord for an end to it. When I was first dx'd I asked God, "Why me?!!" I had a off and on relationship with Jesus then. I went into a depression and almost gave up. But through the years my illness and pain have caused me to draw closer and closer to Him. My relationship with Him now is so joyful and it's because of my health issues that this is so. I wouldn't trade that for perfect health and no pain. I actually thank Him now for my infirmities. Just as Paul said, His strength is made perfect in my weakness. Joni has helped me realize this. I can't wait for my glorified body, but I really can't wait for Joni to receive hers. Bless you both ❤
I suffer from neuropathic pain for 7 years now . Many doctors have not been able to help . This pain is chronic feet pain -erythromelalgia, arthritis , fasciitis -both feet . Before this I was hiking small mountains with my husband . My hope is in the faithfulness of the Lord
I read Joni's biography when I was younger. She encouraged me so much and still does. It helps so much to realize that this life is just a drop in the bucket in eternity...and God overcomes it all for eternity. Jesus does understand our betrayals and rejections and even physical pain. Thank you for reminding me of gratitude lists - they are endless. God bless both of you with showers of blessings! The Rapture is coming - whether it's the Rapture or a personal Rapture - and Jesus is truly near.
Hi Joni and Alisa, I suffer from the same pain illness than Joni and I can just confirm to what Joni said about finding God in a much deeper way than under my healthy days! Thank you , Joni for sharing. I call it the sweetness of suffering. ❤Mia
Joni’s love for the Lord and the closeness of His presence is what makes her testimony so so powerful and inspiring.
❤You are the the aroma of our Lord Jesus Christ and you continue to inspire my life.If God can use you and your suffering to show his deep love and treasures I will continue to walk with Jesus all my life.Praise the Lord❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾.
Didn't plan on crying today but here we are
Joni's description of her viewpoint as she walks through this moment of pain is the closest personally intimate application of the command Jesus gave to, "... occupy until I come." Notice the picture of residence in the battle! Who does she reference but the three young Hebrew Boys in the fiery furnace? They were not passive observers - they occupied until the Lord came! Thank you, Alisha and Joni!
In a life with suffering, we try to focus on the good, sometimes that is impossible. Joni inspires us to keep going ❤
Wow, I am in pain from cancer, what a blessing on how she handles her pain.😢
My mom bought me Joni's cassette tapes when i was a little girl, and i would often fall asleep listening to them. Joni has had a HUGE impact on my walk with Jesus as a result. Thank you for making this interview available! God bless you both
My grandmother in Baltimore had Joni’s artwork in her home as I was growing up. She loved her 🧡and now I see/hear why 🙏
Alisa said she was sure the viewers were "deeply touched" when Joni shared her "raw" view of suffering as she was presently feeling it. I was crying. Joni's words were as real as it gets. What beautiful faith and love for Christ lived out in front of us.
She has saved many lives with her story, Amen 🙏
Incredible ! I pray often for God to remove Joni’s pain for the duration of her life ...but in His sovereign wisdom He has allowed it to continue . What a deep understanding she has of pain and what an encouragement she is to us all .❤
Indeed a richly blessed conversation. May the LORD JESUS bless your staying close to HIM.
The sweetest name I know. JESUS!!! What a beautiful Savior/Redeemer. Peace be with you!
Love Joni's honesty about her pain. Soon she (and all believers) will have brand new bodies!
This is unbelievably moving! And profound.
Praise the Lord! Thank you Jesus for Joni and her testimony. What a gift she is to all of us!
I have gotten through depression and very difficult times through the Word of God and Joni Eareckson's testimonies and books. Joni had an impact on my life at the age of 12 and 43 years later Joni still impacts me today and helps me in my Christian walk.
Great interview!
Bless you ladies.

Jesus opened His arms to us while enduring the pain of the cross. Those same arms of understanding enfold us when we reach out to Jesus to hold us in our pain.
In the Catholic faith they teach that suffering endured patiently can be offered up to God as a form of worship and that it is beautiful to HIM. (Gave me a new perspective on the topic.)
God's promises - He will never leave me nor forsake me.
I read her book YEARS ago. She's a lovely woman and testimony to God's grace. Amen!!
It breaks my heart how much Joni suffers but she is such a spiritual inspiration to so many.
Oh dearest HOLY SPIRIT, help me to see and appreciate EVERY SITUATION around me. Forgive me dearest JESUS, for ingratitude, complaining, murmuring etc. Joni,I hope to meet you in eternity. Love you so much for who you are to me. Am 70 , in Africa and watching you is so encouraging 😢
Joni and I are the same age. When I surrendered my life to Jesus in 1978 her story was one
of the many first things that I read in my journey. It had a profound influence upon me in several areas of my walk. She has often run across my mind and prayers. How many mighty acts has she done from that chair? Just how many? I was so upset a few years ago when I heard she had cancer and my first thought was, "oh, why her!" Then, I thought, well, all that she has had to endure,
that is probably just an inconvenience for her and I prayed for her during that time.
What a blessing is the beautiful Joni. Your talk today will help me go into my pain with more appreciation and confidence. I also often "pray" the hymns that are in my heart. How
can you not lean on Jesus while praying "When I survey the Wonderous Cross" or "Tis So
Sweet to Trust in Jesus" or "Precious Name". Thank you , Joni . Blessed p
Amen 🙏
Thank you for your like-minded "Amen", Nancy! LIC, p@@nancylohe986
I attended a John Piper Conference years ago, titled, “Suffering and the Sovereignty of God” and Joni spoke and said she plans on thanking Jesus for her wheelchair when she arrives in heaven because it was the tool God used to conform her into the image of Christ. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
What a view of suffering!!!!!!
The Lord used her words to lift up my countenance and carried me with such deep encouragement.
Her sharing helped me so much as I was suffering through a very long trial and I have shared the CZcams video of her talk with COUNTLESS dear friends in the midst of their suffering.
I love you Joni
I love you Alyssa
One day we’ll rejoice together before his throne. 🎉❤
I read Joni’s first book at age 8 with my family, and we listened to her music. We would weep openly. Now, older, I have suffered for years with Ankylosing Spondylitis and other spinal diseases that cause pain and fevers. I often return to Joni’s words and GUIDE BACK TO CHRIST. And Elisabeth Elliot, whom I had the privilege to meet in person, and of course dear Corrie ten Boom.
I have been suffering with vertigo for the past 4 years and on my most difficult days, I put on one of Joni's videos and the Lord ministers to me and brings me through the tough time! She is so inspirational!
MY mom introduced me to Joni years ago, and she has always been such a " mentor" to me in my faith. I think my mom saw her in person a few times and she felt she was always blessed. Joni, you NEVER say too much. XOXOXOXO
I knew I needed this message but waited until today so I could take time to absorb this and find healing for a very specific tragedy. Thank you
✝️🛐🫂❤️
I have read the book about Joni's life in my 20's.. 30 yrs down the line to hear from Joni was amazing. Her closeness to Jesus in her suffering is marvelous. It has left me feeling ashamed for being ungrateful. My dad was bed ridden and aphasic for 15 years before he passed away. I have learnt a lot from his suffering too.
God permits what he hates to accomplish something that he loves...changing our hearts to be conformed to the image of his son Jesus Christ our Lord. 💖👏🙏👏💖
