I think it is beautiful that they got their very first international fame in Sweden as teenagers and now they are going to represent us in Eurovision as adults! People joke that we have officially adopted them now haha. This might not be my favorite in Melodifestivalen but they are very charming which is great for interviews and got tons of fans all over Europe. Btw, their voices are amazing. They even won Masked Singer Sweden in 2022. I'm actually happy for them, they even cried when they won. Melodifestivalen is our biggest television show. During the compition they go to other cities but end the final in a huge arena in Stockholm. Eurovision is a quite a big deal for many of us haha.

They think Sweden every year sends mass produced, radio friendly but soulless pop songs that the juries always unfairly favoring. They think ESC is a platform for promoting new artists and avant-garde music which is fair to say, is not what Sweden tends to send. They think the Swedish music industry have a too tight stronghold over Mello and ESC and they don’t want any involvement by the “establishment” in ESC.
That’s my “Freudian” analysis to why so many have a negative bias towards Sweden and judging our entries with an unbalanced scale!
People say that we send the same boring pop songs every year (which is weird because that is what we are known for making pop songs to international celebrities, it is like saying Ukraine only sends songs with ukrainian melody!) and because we always get high votes for the international jury (people got pissed when Loreen won over Finland who got the most public votes, yet they always for years wanted Loreen to compete for Sweden again) and because people are jealous of us winning a lot. People always complain, yet almost half of the countries in the contest use Swedish songwriters! Even if I do love Eurovision, it has become very toxic tbh. Eurovision is supposed to bring people together, not get countries against each other. Eurovision is supposed to be fun.
Yepp...But expect large points from ALL the Nordic countries..They have MASSIVE fan support since they have been performing since they were small kids.
Usually people tend to get mad when their favourites don't win and then people sometimes downvote the actual winner. A couple of days before the final they had a rating around 4.4 stars, so yeah don't take the overall rating too serious

I'm from Greece and I remember all teen magazines back in the 10s (in my country) would have their posters and interviews.. they were HUGE!

Marcus and martinus are such sweet boys they are always Nice to everyone they dont deserve hate just because it Sweden and apperently people hate Sweden because ther succses in eurovision i was there When they preformed and they really deserve all love and support not hate (so you know there was mostly7-16 year old girls screaming even if they just Said there name it was really funny and there was a grupp of people behind me who were screaming like someone died )

It's a tradition to have the Melodifestivalen Final Show in Friends Arena, and it's packed every year, even on the rehersal/juryshow, the day before, it tends to be almost packed.
Would love to go see it at one point!🥰🥰
Melodifestivalen is like a touring thing. We have six weeks (our big final is on week 6) where each week takes place in a different town in Sweden. It takes place in arenas and stadiums. So yes, it is at least 10.000 people in the audience.
We take Melodifestivalen very seriously here in Sweden and it is watched by millions each week.

Thank you for your kind words. People don't like Sweden in eurovsion anymore. People have become so toxic about Sweden. It's a song that isn't anything groundbreaking, but they are performing it so well. That's why people are so critical. People want the song to be recognized as well and they do anything to say that it's not good enough. I think people are worried that the performance will take them high in the competition and they won't be deserving it because the song isn't there. But this is so swedish and represents Sweden as a host country so well imo. / From a swede.
Dont forget Eurovision is a competition for songwriters and song producers. The artists are just the face for them. Thats why Swedish people and artists has competed for other country's as well. And thats why a Norwegian twins can compete for Sweden as long as the songwriters are from Sweden.
Thru Eurovision it has allways been like this. And other countries has done it too.
Songwriting and producing songs is the what competes artists in Eurovision is just the facade.
You could think it's a music video. And the reason why it only had 3.5p is that many ppl hates Sweden.. We have seen it the last 5 or so years.. It's nothing more than jealousy...

They got a lot of hate, i've seen it and it makes me sad to see how much hate they have gotten both from sweden and europe. This is awful to say but I can say they started getting hate before even performing and their fans recieved the hate as well, sure people can have different tasts in music but I feel like alot of the people hating on them just writes hate for no reason at all they just want to hate on them which is so sad and they absolutly do not desserve that! They are on of the most kindes person I've met and I have been following along on their journey and supported them since 2016 and will continue to do so because they desserves all the best
I hope people will realise they are only young still and spreading the hate for literally participating in the competition - to me is very low. I hope the world becomes a kinder place 🙏🏼

The Norwegian twins did very well and we Norwegians are proud of them. They are super good at singing and the stage show is perfect. We wish our neighbors in Sweden the best of luck, because you are much better this year than our Norwegian song, which I don't like. There has always been competition between Sweden and Norway

Many Eurovision fans hates Sweden , because they have won too many times.
Marcus and Martinus whole production team is Swedish, thats also why they are paying back their gratitude by participating for Sweden. As you might remember they allreadu participated last year. But lost to the Mighty Loreen

Really like this entry, the song is a mishmash between greyhound ( SHM )and faithless.
I wish that they take advantage of the esc stage and do something special. However the song ends a bit abruptly and could benefit from having some extra notes from that signature beat we hear in the beginning.

It's deeper than that.. It goes beyond Eurovision. When I have asked people.. They take great pleasure in that we, smug, open minded and tolerant Swedes are having "problems" with guns.. Immigrants. Which to me I really cannot see myself. Even though I supposedly live in a "no go zone".. Our scandinavian "utopia" which has been stable and the happiest, least corrupt country on earth is supposedly struggling according to some. They call Sweden the rape and pedophile country.. It is a narrative that doesn't make sense to me.. I don't see it at all and statistically we have less crime than most countries... And we have the strictest laws against rapists and pedophiles in the world.

It has only 3.5 stars because Sweden has become a hate object in Eurovision for many over the last decade. Reasons? Too much success, too much of an impact and involvement in the competition in general, people hating on pop music, and people claiming they get unfair jury points. That it has anything to do with the Swedish contributions always having very professional productions and songs with an actual wide appeal is not even a consideration for the haters. Instead of just supporting their own favorites, they make an actual effort to talk down and downrate the Swedish contributions every year.
Well most Swedes don't like this song so thats also a reason

what people don't like is that it's sweden. If they thought it was norway it would have a higher rating.
I really like the Tattoo inspired flipped stage so it's sideways instead of on top and below them. The music is spot on, altho it could've ended better. The lyrics however are pretty bad. But if i remember correctly they write their songs with the help of someone else so I don't want to be too mean about it. I hope they win, but I also think this year is probably the worst when it comes to perfromances. There are at least 6 identical fierce outfit, twerking on stage entries that were obviously inspired by Queen of the Kings. I kinda wish that Spanish guy would've won so there would've been at least one man doing the same thing.

Sweden gets a lot of hate from Eurovision fans due to jealousy of their success in the last decade. But they don't admit that is the reason, instead their explanation is that Sweden sends plastic pop songs which are unfairly favored by biased juries.

I love Sweden, they've had some amazing songs. But this isn't one of them. Its cheesy as heck. "She'll eat you up"? She comes alive when her prey's asleep? Her love is venomous? Ugh. And they just keep saying Unforgettable over and over....it becomes ironic. LOL!
