I watched a video of a guy beating Prey in 19:34. This video is 19:37, never leaves the first room, and is infinitely more entertaining

I'm pretty surprised at just how much stuff in the game you can actually interact with. Granted a lot of it is just random boxes, but still...
Mar Hawkman my guess is that is probably linked directly to the context specific behavior of the mimics and how their AI pathing is designed to pick any random object to mimic.
apcsox I'm with you. beating a game like that doesn't even sound fun to me. I'm good slowly crawling through tying to find everything and getting surprised every time a mimic jumps from a trash can haha

As far as I'm concerned, this is the proper way to play the game. Everything else is post-game content.

This video, in which the plot progresses precisely 0%, is as long as the latest speedrun. They can't get you if you never start the game!
I came for Prey and got Moving Simulator 2017.

+rashkavar it also has a PS button layout.... it's obviously a dualshock, that wasn't his point. The point was that the channel has 'xbox' in the title.
However, that point is moot anyway, they don't work for xbox and they regularly feature Playstation games, the channel name doesn't limit the content. (Even if it did, the name is *outside* xbox)

I was able to cram everything in the ballistics lab into the recycling chamber thinking I'd get a bunch if materials but I barely got anything and ended up wasting half an hour

That joke will never get old. And if it does than trading there will be worth something. XD
You know, it occurs to me that maybe the game would have turned out differently if Yu had started out this way and they reacted appropriately to it. They could notice you're showing the signs of a breakdown, they all focus on helping you, the man is too distracted by an actually interesting development in testing that is otherwise excruciatingly boring, so he can't drink his mimic face sucking coffee.
This truly is the best way to play! You save the day by behaving absolutely ridiculously and setting up your flat in the lift! Hooray!
I really hope that Morgan gets the apartment security deposit back after all that happened there...
Next episode: Transporting a whole fallout vault into a portaloo. You guys should really consider a career change.

Ahh, the memories of hoarding all kinds of chemicals, weapons, hybrid organs, etc. in the elevator of the Von Braun (System Shock 2). It was always a challenge selecting the intended item with the sheer amount of crap I kept in there.

I just watched a 19 minute, 38 second video of Jane just shoving random items into an elevator, and I couldn't be happier.
That was the most pointless thing I've seen this year, and I've seen lots of cat videos this year. It was absolutely hilarious, though. Thank you.

I just started playing Prey like two weeks ago and this video makes me happy.
So, I just realised this as Jane was moving all this stuff but, everyone's now afraid of cups and yet, it's not the worst thing to fear : what if a mimic turned into toilet paper? I'm just gonna leave that to your imagination...

What if Mimics aren't actually aliens? I bet you they are secretly all the Dittos from Pokemon Go that we could never find. After years of hiding and watching their brethren get stuffed into small balls and beat each other to the point of passing out, they are now ready to exact their revenge.
20 minutes of carrying items from the room to the elevator has never been so fun.
