The way Jon held Ygritte in his arms and didn’t even care if someone kills him then just held her there while the battle was happening all around him in the background was such a deep moment speaks volumes of how he actually felt about her. That being said Bliss’s reaction to her being killed by a child sent me lmao!!!
Olly killing Ygritte is poetic justice. Ollie’s father was killed by an arrow and the only one in the group of wildlings carrying a bow was Ygritte, so she did kill his father right in front of him.

If Jon can fight a whole 1v1 battle with the Magner of the Thenns (using the blood spitting that Karl Tanner used against Jon, another nice tidbit) without anyone interrupting, then he can spend 5 seconds holding Ygritte in his arms without anyone interrupting. That much artistic license is well earned. Jon Ygritte was a big thing for some of the fandom back in the day. For a lot of fans and shippers that moment hit hard. Kinda like the brunette chick. She got it. Most people don't usually cheer her dying believe it or not. But even for the Jon-Ygritte fans, the morality of it becomes really grey when you realize the Wildings killed and ate his parents.The plot twist with Olly was excellent cause we all expect it would be Sam. What other show will have a whole 5/5 episode that completely excludes the main plot of the season. For this one hour we don't even think of Tyrion. That's insane in hindsight.
Rip Pypar known as Pyp was such a good brother of the night watch and Rip to Grenn First Ygritte kills Pyp, and it's pretty bloody and awful. Then Grenn dies off-screen while holding the tunnel against a rampaging giant. Two unexpected departures of likable guys.
That was not a siege that was an attack. During a siege you do not attack you set up camp outside and around a fortified position and starve them out. To force a surrender.
I would argue that Peter Dinklage was having a very nice career before this role, but this launched him into superstardom. I was already a big fan of his before this series came along, and he's actually one of the main reasons why I was interested in watching this show. Him, Lena Headey, Aiden Gillen, and Sean Bean of course, were the big names on this project from the start. Most everyone else was only known in obscure foreign films, small unmemorable parts, or were just stage actors.
I have been greatly enjoying your reactions to the show, but I feel compelled to say that all three of you need to go in time out, sit in the corner and contemplate your lack of faith in Sam at the start of this episode.
Why does no one have faith in Sam, him being chubby in this weather is actually a great advantage I wish I was as warm as he is, everyone whose around him is too cold to think 😂

In the middle of this video.. "This is a good place to nurse"...I gave birth to my son in the late 80's, the waiter and my family around the table in the restaurant agreed. Even with a cloth over my son and I, it was not enough. Maybe I was not descret enough.
Another good place to nurse was when I was in the backseat of a car with my son and he was crying and they didn't want to pull over to let me breastfeed him because we were in a rough part of town . I leaned over him to feed him while they were driving, then they pulled over.
