  • How do you get DCAs and Mute groups functionality on the Allen & Heath CQ Series mixers? You have to use the third-party mixing station app: mixingstation.app/ and follow this guide. It's super easy and makes these mixers a whole lot more powerful once you know how to make it work.

Great video! One small remark: You can also edit existing layers by pressing and holding any of the existing layer button while in the mixer view

@@DcSoundOp there's a latency in Bluetooth audio I noticed once I route the sound of my ipad to the mixer. It's really little but noticeable.

@@liothomasart yes, all Bluetooth (and other wireless signals too) involve latency. BT is one of the worst offenders though, as it was never intended for low latency use & can have up hundreds of milliseconds of latency depending on the device and situation. Good catch noticing it right away.

CQ series mixers has subgroups? I will have to look into details on that. I could have sworn it didn't but if they just added via an update, that is great to hear.

How tu get tep tempo button on screen How to increase recording level without increasing main RL fader?

I'm not sure what you're asking about getting the Tap Tempo on screen, do you mean on the mixer or the Mixing Station app? You can assign it to one of the soft buttons to the right of the screen for sure. If you're not getting the recording level you're after, I would make sure you have enough gain at the input stage and check to see where you've got the recording pick-off point set to. If you're adding gain later down the line, but are picking off the recording before that, you'll certainly have an issue. Hopefully that gives you somewhere to start, thanks for the great questions!

Can the surface be rearranged like on the SQ (whether native or via Mixing Station app) on the 18T or 12T? Thanks for all your informative videos!

Hey thanks for the question. The only way I know to rearrange the surface like that is with the Mixing Station App, but it works really well so hopefully that will handle what you need. Thanks for checking out the video!
