  • For the past ten years, Desert Control has been testing a land treatment that promises to transform non-productive land into fertile soil. The material they have invented is called Liquid NanoClay and it’s a mixture of clay and water, mixed using a special patented method.

    They need some kind of mulch or organic material to cover the sand so moisture retains for days(not just shade). A 2inch thick layer above the sand will bring cost(use) of water down.

      I thought of doing landscaping/stump removal work to then bury the wood deep, after a feet or yards deep "till", after propagating mushrooms on them from whichever types will grow in the darkness underground to start a type of hügelkultur in the desert that I'd hoped would grow organic matter upward even after they themselves decompose to rehab the land. The incredibly deep till should allow trees/any taproot to grow much faster. I don't know if I'd want to till after that initial deep till.

      Without microorganisms it's not soil but dirt. Ad some compost tea and the crop will be real happy, good soil doesn't need fertilizer. Modern agriculture is just borrowing from the future and we are running out of time.

      Take Corn Starch and add it to sand soil at a consistency of 1:2 or 1:3 and there you have sand which holds moisture.

    China has been testing a similar system... They used plant extracts mix with desert sand to create a 'paste like' material that binds and is able to retain water and grow crops.

      As long as you don't remove the organic material as it grows its natural life cycle will create compost. You can speed this up with a technique called "chop and drop"

    Saw this technique years ago, but it seems too expensive to catch on. Dr. Alan Savory does the same thing using grazing animals. Others cover the sand with straw and other organics, some use landscaping to create waterworks. So many ways, such little time.

      It’s not really expensive tho, water truck rentals can get very cheap if you’re renting out old trucks without ac/radio/windows or any amenities, my company rented them for 150$ a day for a 2000-3000 gallon water truck, unlimited use, all your adding is a driver and the clay solution. So about 500$ a day for saving a large chunk of desert per day is not bad, these are California union prices too.

      There are many deserts that are close to the ocean, rivers or lakes. There is moisture in the air near these bodies of water. Mositure condenses on plants. The plants cool the immediate surrounds. The plants compost and retain water. You start with grasses (or specific crops) and move upwards to trees. you might have trees interspersed with grasses/bushes/crops. The environment begins to change. Many deserts have rainfall but not regular rainfall. All of these things help to lower the temperature and to improve the soil and to create food. It takes work but it eventually is self sustaining.

    So in the desert you can just throw food waste into the ground, water it, then water the roots of the plant, get some mycorrhizal fungi and clay mixed together and paste that around the roots and put it in the ground, then water and mulch. Use some grass or allium and legumes mixed to get mycorrhizal fungi.

    • @intelligencecube6752
      @intelligencecube6752 Před 2 lety +2

      Actually fixing a solution isn’t what they’re paid to do, it’s just to make money short term. You’d think waiting a bit and investing in the land would be worthwhile for having significantly higher yields later would be worth spending that little extra time to do that.
      Either they have the collective mental capacity of a goldfish or they just can’t spend that extra time to improve the land or they’ll go bankrupt.

    • @intelligencecube6752
      @intelligencecube6752 Před 2 lety +2

      And also the companies that make this make more money if it’s used as a constant treatment (at least in their own eyes, they’d probably make more in volume turning the desert green but they don’t have that sort of foresight)

    Deserts are dry places usually. Still need water to grow things. If this is done for long enough, with water being brought in, would the water eventually stay there? 🤔 Bring fertility. Bring water. Repeat. Would there be a lasting effect or would it all shrivel up and die as soon as you stop? Organic matter for the microbes? Then again they need water too. If everything goes dry it has slim chances.

      A difficult and sad update to have to share with you on Daniel Erickson Hull. He was arrested on Thursday 12th September at 6am. Six minors were found at his home. They all accused Daniel of committing sexual abuse. He was arrested and has now being charged with these offences. This is from the Bulgarian Ministry of interior press office. I have spoken to police and has seen the full judges sentencing report back in The UK. He was charged with possessing HUNDREDS of images and videos many of which were Category A (the worst imaginable) He pleaded GUILTY. When sentencing him the judge said;- he had blood on his hands and was a risk to children, he was given a 5 year travel prevention order and placed on the sex offenders register, preventing him from having and contact with children. When released from prison on licence he absconded to Bulgaria within days. These are the sad and shocking facts around this case. This truth has been hidden by Daniel from his followers. The Roma people are wonderful, enthusiastic and giving and a joy to work with. They are also impoverished, uneducated and desperate. He has cleverly manipulated the whole community and generous brothers and sisters from around the globe. The generous donations used to do undoubtedly do good works within the community gave him trust, adulation and the platform he needed. I realise this is extremely difficult news for everyone to comprehend. I hope that others can continue to work in this community and they get everyone's continued prayers and support. It is more important now than ever. I am not doing the Devils work, or have a left wing agenda, I am not part of any world order. I am simply a concerned compassionate man that has a heart for the children and community. I am sorry for the heartache this message may bring, God Bless You All.
