Framing is usually done after the artwork is complete and in a color or style that enhances the artwork. Otherwise what looks best with the furnishings in the room.
I think what he mean is that, since the art is already painted in white which is similar to the wall, adding frame with stronger color than the artwork itself, will make the audience notice the frame first before the art, which is what he ment by losing focus to the art.
I don’t know…maybe a wood stained frame ? But make them both the same. Maybe put some more artwork or a grouping of family photos on s as wall as well. That mite help balance the room out a bit more. Just a suggest & kudos for even thinking of this!! B
I like the no frame look. And next year when you are bored with it, you can just add a small dark frame or even make some sort of Art work, such as an abstract in purples and blues. Etc
My house growing up had a couple windows between the kitchen and the sunroom on the front of the house. It was nice for natural light but my dad ended up removing them later because it took up a lot of kitchen wall space and limited what he could put there.
If I had little kids, I'd love to have windows everywhere so I can see what these little monsters are doing 😂. That's why open floors plans are appealing to families because stay-at-home moms spend a great deal of the day in the kitchen and the openess allows them to simultaneously see their children
Its common when houses are added onto for their to be an interior window. Alot of people remove the window and install shelving on the side where they need it the most. You could also install art on a door creating a hidden cabinet.
but the windows themselves are ugly (well for indoors, they look like regular windows for the outside) a more open shelve type of thing where u can see through to the other side would have been so much better
Your furniture are good with them. Some people like to just look at the texture. You might try painting the side edges white. It'll give a little depth, but you it's not obnoxious. Later if you need a change, you could always paint something on them, etc. I'd put greenery in vase on table. Maybe use sage vase (s) on your shelves and put a a small piece of the orange foliage from the Vase on table. Good luck. Post the finished project.
I actually love the windows! Its different & looks cool to me .Also I like the idea of being able to see the kids if they are in one room while your in another .If you decide to keep the artwork up either wood or gold frame would go beautifully Imo.
My first thought. I always wanted windows or that opening in the kitchen wall just to see my kids and give snack through them. Like how fun 🤣 it was something I've always wanted since I was a kid myself 😁 I'm a weird one 😅.. I do kinda hate the windows to my mom's living room to the sunroom. It creeps me out because people could look into the windows through the sunroom to the living room. Makes me uneasy. Even with curtains. Or like if someone broke in then they could break a window because there is a heavy duty chain lock on the inside door. Two big doors but I don't't like the windows there. Man that comment spiraled out 🤣
@@bnovak4574 lol, i get it. The house I grew up in had a multiple giant windows, so you could see in from the street and one had pretty plants in front of it. Especially with small children lol. If that was their playroom, it would be perfect.
No frame. The focus is your art. If you frame them the frames become the focus. God bless you & your family. 🙏❤🙏
??? What?? How does framing an art work make the frame the focus??
@@mochibunnyan6556 yeah a frame would make it look better in my opinion tho
I think what he mean is that, since the art is already painted in white which is similar to the wall, adding frame with stronger color than the artwork itself, will make the audience notice the frame first before the art, which is what he ment by losing focus to the art.
@@kstell9381 ahhhh that makes sense :0 In my opinion, frames can be a part of artwork as much as the painting or piece itself
Frames direct the eye to the painting. If it isn’t framed it blends in too much with the walls which is the opposite of what you want
Look at the table. That kind of wood would look like you planned the art work and the table at the same time. That would build continuity in the room.
Those Windows gave me some kind of F.R.I.E.N.D.S vibes. Waiting for Joey to sing with your neighbour in the morning. LOL
I'm literally watching friends as I'm reading this comment
I don’t know…maybe a wood stained frame ? But make them both the same. Maybe put some more artwork or a grouping of family photos on s as wall as well. That mite help balance the room out a bit more. Just a suggest & kudos for even thinking of this!! B
Wood stain frame
Make a large wooden frame...and add your family's photos....With nice color's of every season...and holiday's... Lot's of luck 🤞...
Wooden frame the same as the table would look beautiful! ❤
I agree ❤
That would look amazing!
I like the no frame look. And next year when you are bored with it, you can just add a small dark frame or even make some sort of Art work, such as an abstract in purples and blues. Etc
Black frame would look fantastic!
Wait, another room in your home? Heck, that’s pretty neat
I think they mean like across from where they live
Right I love it
@@lorraine1761 no it sounds like it was another part of her home
Yes they are windows that look into another room in their home...not across the street.
I love the windows, the art took away the beautiful natural light.
The natural light from the other room?
Its common when houses are added onto for their to be an interior window. Alot of people remove the window and install shelving on the side where they need it the most. You could also install art on a door creating a hidden cabinet.
A wood stain frame would look great and it can also add up to the details ..... Be so artsy.😘😘😘
Yes agreed 👍
Wood stain
I love the windows into another room. Don’t see that very often. But I like what you did too. 😊
I love how her baby just comes up in the beginning out of nowhere 😂
I would put two pictures in the middle I think would look good
Natural wood look ir dark wood looks perfect for the spaces can ad some gold and light brown to the art ❤
So then when you’re in the other room, you get to look at a silver window covered up? I think keeping it uncovered would have been the best option
Covering those windows with art is a great idea! I vote for No Frames.
No frame ❤
Me too
Agree - no frame
Love them! Wood stained frames would look great!
Wood frame
I agree !
I agree too because of the wood tones on the table
No frames would be better.
Black would look really good❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
And then there's me like ..... just get thicker curtains and leave them closed and then you can't see thru the window 😅🙈
Yess SAME!
I think it looks better this way tbh, especially if she does it on both sides. Then there will be wall art and you’d never know windows are there lol
But windows not leading outside is weird.
No frame
@@jenniesmythe8188 could be the house was expanded but the owner not removing the original wall & windows
I think the windows look fantastic! I'd love a window into another room to let more light in!
Tbh I like the idea of having the kitchen closed off to the kids but being able to see the kids in the living room lol.
but the windows themselves are ugly (well for indoors, they look like regular windows for the outside) a more open shelve type of thing where u can see through to the other side would have been so much better
@@kathaai eh, I live in a Victorian era house so it just looks normal to me. Albeit I've never been a fan of the rosettes.
yeah i like it.
@@kathaai maybe if they turned it into a shelf cove type thing that's visible from both sides. It's could be so cute I can see it now
Ok glad I’m not alone. I mean my kids are grown now but this would have been amazing!
Your furniture are good with them. Some people like to just look at the texture. You might try painting the side edges white. It'll give a little depth, but you it's not obnoxious.
Later if you need a change, you could always paint something on them, etc.
I'd put greenery in vase on table. Maybe use sage vase (s) on your shelves and put a a small piece of the orange foliage from the
Vase on table.
Good luck. Post the finished project.
Wood stained would look great and I love this idea! 👍🏻
I love the windows, but this is your home. I personally think a black satin color would be beautiful 😍 I think I'm going to try this in my home!!
You don’t need a frame. Just paint murals on them! Then you have something beautiful to look at.
Black would pop and match your modern style.😊
I actually love the windows! Its different & looks cool to me .Also I like the idea of being able to see the kids if they are in one room while your in another .If you decide to keep the artwork up either wood or gold frame would go beautifully Imo.
I love that you'd be able to watch your kids in the living room while cooking
Covering these windows with a jutting wall is confusing to me
@@maccamac13 She said it was temporary in case she missed the windows after covering them
My first thought.
A little creepy, but the lighting was nice. Those windows scared me because I always imagined someone was watching me through them. Idk why THAT concerned me and not the fact that the front *and* back door didn't lock properly 😂😅
@@bnovak4574 In the house I grew up in, we had this grand opening that led to the dining room, I would always sit there and watch my dad cook 🥺
The windows looks way better
I love your kitchen table!!
If you did do a frame, matching the wood color of your dining room table would really pop and tie everything together. Looks gorgeous either way! 😍
👏👏👏😁 I just said the same thing to myself!! I think it would gorgeous as well!!😁
Me too
no frame 😊
Ooh good idea!!

I think wood-stained frames go with your lovely warm stained furniture… ❤
Agreed
Go stained
Yes definitely!
I agree
Yassssssssssss!
Oh my god that’s actually super cool, how dare you remove the cool lil food window 😭😭 what if someone was in there and needed a drink, y’all could hand stuff back and forth
frr
Reminds me of gatherings at my gma's house. They added on and kept the window from the kitchen to the add-on dining room where everyone congregated. It was great if you needed a cup or a spoon. Open the window, ask a person, then you're good!
I would do a thick frame in the same white color. Monochromatic is so chic and modern
