As you can tell by the public service announcement at the end of this song it is a way to open peoples eyes to the trauma. The children go through. She does have quite a few songs that are very emotional like this. Independence Day is one of them, and God‘s will is another. I have to say that God‘s will is one of my favorite songs of hers. She also has a song called I love you, this one’s for the girls, etc. She has an absolutely gorgeous voice and a beautiful heart, and she tries to sing songs that make a difference. Thank you for reacting.
And if all that "caring" makes her rich and popular, all the better. Put the number of a charity at the end of a music video, and it's ratings go up. trendy and trite.
We became foster parents and when I was handed a baby with bruises I felt gutted. We finally got to adopt the child and between my husband, my biological children and aunts and uncles this child has blossomed and is the light of our lives. This song kills something inside of me.
Martina certainly has some happy songs. Check out, “This One’s for the Girls”. If you want to hear why she’s one one the greatest singers of all time watch the live versions of, Where Would You Be”, or Whatever You Say”.
Martina is a wonderful singer (even better in person). I highly recommend "Independence Day" for a different type of situation- very powerful and a different take...it's one of my favorites! "This one's for the girls" is a really fun one and is another favorite!
I appreciate the three of you. As a child, I grew up in a beyond abusive family. When I was around 6 years old, my mother and step-father tried to kill me. They threw me naked out in the snow. God sent my angel to rescue me. My aunt, on my step-father's side, who lived many miles away, just happened to drive by the house and saw me in the snow. She took me to her house and sent me to live with my grandparents. My mother and stepfather are very sadistic The reason that they beat, tourchered, and abused me was because I was born male. My mother never wanted a male child. I forgave them some time ago. There were other times but I will not go into those. I am now 61 years old. God has always looked out for me and stepped in to prevent them from killing me. This song is very hard for me to hear and see the video. It is very personal to me. Thanks for having a heart. There are children out there right now that will be killed by the ones that are supposed to love them. If you suspect that this is occurring in a child's life please intervine. You may save a life.
Ladies, sorry for YOUR distress. Martina made this to spread awareness of childhood abuse and gave an 800 number in an effort to save children. T Y for your reaction. God bless you. Much peace and lots of love, y'all.
Omg. That song makes me cry every time. She is a beautiful storyteller in song. Try Independence day or Broken wing. They are sad but inspiring especially broken wing.
Martina tackles a lot of tough issues... Child abuse, domestic abuse, cancer!!! Independence Day, Broken Wing, and I'm Gonna Love You Through It are all song worth checking out!!
This is such a beautiful song and everytime I watch/listen to it I always cry. I've seen many reaction videos to it and I appreciate your style for this as well as that you realized the little boy was her Angel right away unlike other reactions that missed that.
My older brother and I were born, survived and ESCAPED our abusive parents. NO one who saw our parents abuse us, who saw the blood, who saw the marks on our bodies, NONE of them cared enough to step in and help us. For those of you who went through abuse, and those of you who are right now going through abuse, MAYBE these two songs MIGHT be of some comfort. 1)For King & Country “God Only Knows”(Official Music Video), and 2)MercyMe “The Hurt and The Healer”(Official Music Video).
It really doesn't matter if someone was trying to make you cry... It's a song & video that everyone should watch. I appreciate anyone who reacts to this... thank you ❤
Martina isn't all depressing or heavy subjects, but neither does she shy away from important subjects. Another two of hers that do are Independence Day and Broken Wing. But she has a lot of good uplifting songs. But for another artist for you: I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack. (a very good, loving, and uplifting song)
I'm a big and tall guy with a thick beard, I almost only listen to deathmetal and watch the worst horrormovies but this song make me cry like a little baby, its impossible not to
I grew up in the 60’s and 70’s and CPS was pretty much unheard of, many of us were physically, mentally, sexually abused, being hit with whatever was closest , with my three younger brothers it was dads belt, mom was emotionally and mentally abusive, when dad was hitting us mom sat on the couch smiling
New subscriber here. You guys reacted like I do every time I hear this. Yes, the little boy was helping transition her to the other side. Never fails to give me chills.
I understand that these real life songs are so heart wrenching but the message is so important. And to be honest, millions of people watch reactors and will see this through you. God bless all of you for your help in spreading these messages.
IDK WHY BUT I FEEL SOME MUCH FRIENDLYNESS FROM THIS TRIPLE SET OF LADIES GOD BLESS YOU ALL THANK YOU ON A SIDE NOTE AS WELL, I OWE MY LIFE TO .........
Martina has a special talent for bringing topics that people don't like to talk about the forefront and making us confront them. And she is amazing for it. Her discography covers domestic assault, child abuse, rape, and everything in between. Broken Wing is another great song of hers. Bring the tissues because it is just as sad as this one.
YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!! you guys caught that little boy disappearing and realized that he was her guardian angel, i cant tell you how many people ive watched react to this song and they dont get it when it happens it takes your breath away when realization hits i love the fact that you guys pay attention and dont interrupt the song every 30 seconds juts to hear yourselves talk about nothing involving the songor the meaning behind it
Thank you so much for your kind words. She has a beautiful voice, and that song expresses something that happens far too often and breaks our hearts no child should be abused
The video/song is the true story of what happened to Martina's niece. The name on the grave, Angela Carter, is the little girl killed by her own mother.
You ladies are all awesome. I love Martina and this song. Most people who react to this video miss the part of the boy being her guardian angel. But yall didnt miss a beat!!❤
Im almost 50yrs old & when I was about 10yrs old 1 of my classmates was getting abused. I immediately told my dad who was a police officer. Her mom was also being abused & with my dads help he was arrested & put away for a long time. Her mom & her moved 2,000 miles away to her grandparents.
He was her guardian angel sent down to help her pass over and help- her through the pain he was a child of abuse and died from it and wanted to help others
This song was to call attention to the child abuse situation in our country and worldwide. It was VERY controversial when it came out but did go on to win many awards. As a survivor of horrible child abuse I want to stress, we CANNOT just pretend it doesn't exist. At the end of the video are the numbers and website for the National Child Abuse Hotline. If you see it or suspect it, report it. Do not stay silent ... please.
Just to be clear; Martina didn’t write this song and it has nothing to do with her sister or her niece. It was written by Stephanie Bentley and Rob Crosby. Martina just sings it.
It doesn't matter who wrote it she knew what she was singing and put her all into it. And because of that it became not only a good song but a good video. A story that needs to be seen and heard.
This song is about Martinas 7 year old niece .... yes Martinas sister killed her own daughter at 7 years old.. the head Stone is her actually her nieces
Love your reaction to MM. I don't know if you know that that song was written because of MMs niece,, yes martinas sister killed her 7 year old daughter,, and the headstone in the video is her actual head stone... Now do you know a Girl Named Angelina Jordan she just dropped a single today called "Love Don't Let Me Go" it's already #1 in Norway and top 10 in 4 other countrys,, you might want to jump on that band wagon because she has 10s of thousands of followers. It you do this one we will give you a long lost of jaw dropping other songs and covers by AJ.
Trust me she is a beautiful singer and her songs are all about awareness. but you should really listen to " This one is for the girls" by her. it's beautiful and so much girl power and you being beautiful the way you are.
Her songs BROKEN WING and INDEPENDENCE DAY are beautiful songs with tragedy at the core with wife abuse. Her song GODS WILL is the opposite showing the good in humanity
Ladies I am so sorry for your distress Martina made this to spread awareness of child abuse and I am giving it over 100 💯 600 number effort and I feel for Martina McBride and her precious niece and sister Angela carter
The headstone in the video is the real headstone of Martine's neice who was murdered by Martine's sister at the age of 7. It is implied that the boy is the the ghost of a child who was killed from abuse who comes to the girl before she passes to show her friendship for the first time in her short life.
You can't just feel good and happy all the time in this world. You need stuff like this to remind you of what happening, and hopefully motivate you to step up and say something, or do something, if you see it is happening, instead of just going on as if you didn't see anything. It is true some people just probably wanted to make you cry, but I think a lot of people take comfort in the fact that they are not the only one who cried at it, that there isn't something wrong with them. I would be worried if someone wasn't touched by it.
I bawl every time I hear this song, never feel bad for feeling.
It is one of my favorites because it makes me feel.
Every time...yep!
Always a favorite. And very emotional 😢
Martina;s songs most have a MESSAGE it took her a long time to get Independence day heard on the air .
You can 'listen' to it and not break down. The visual just kills your heart. And yes, he was an angel sent to watch over her.
There is another one called Independence Day by her and it has another strong message. The point was to bring awareness to these type of situations
As you can tell by the public service announcement at the end of this song it is a way to open peoples eyes to the trauma. The children go through. God's will amazing song, amazing Martina chooses to do these songs for a reason .

Martina is an exceptional singer .... this song is powerful ... and the video that goes along with it takes it to a whole other level.
I appreciate the three of you. As a child, I grew up in a beyond abusive family. When I was around 6 years old, my mother and step-father tried to kill me. They threw me naked out in the snow. the little boy is the angel that takes her to a better place
i can't imagine getting mad at a song making you feel emotions or apologizing for feeling them because of a touching story
Ladies, sorry for YOUR distress. Martina made this to spread awareness of childhood abuse and gave an 800 number in an effort to save children. T Y for your reaction. God bless you. Much peace and lots of love, y'all.
A child deserves parents and not all parents deserve children
one song from Martina that I found quite uplifting and light hearted was "my baby loves me." They aren't all depressing.
It’s a powerful song that needs to be seen
Well you ladies done went and bawled properly! I heard this song when I was young and saw the video when it first came out! I bawl every time.

Dont be embarrass by your tears, you are human, and this is powerful and sad story, that too many children suffer
She sings happy songs too. Blessed is one of my favorites, so is Safe In The Arms Of Love, My Baby Loves Me (Just The Way That I am).
My older brother and I were born, survived and ESCAPED our abusive parents. NO one who saw our parents abuse us, who saw the blood, who saw the marks on our bodies, NONE of them cared enough to step in and help us. Her song " God's Will " is great too.
Yes I really like that song and video as well
Martina has a phenomenal voice and often has a message in her songs but not always. A good one to show her vocal range is Where Would You Be
Loving your child no matter what and always protecting them
Love Martina McBride, even though most her songs make me cry 😭
It really doesn't matter if someone was trying to make you cry... It's a song & video that everyone should watch. I appreciate anyone who reacts to this... thank you ❤
I'm almost 65, and I still tear up every time I see this video.
Martina isn't all depressing or heavy subjects, but neither does she shy away from important subjects. Another two of hers that do are Independence Day and Broken Wing. But she has a lot of good uplifting songs. But for another artist for you: I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack. (a very good, loving, and uplifting song)
this broke my heart. one of the few songs that don't leave much to interpretation.
I'm a big and tall guy with a thick beard, I almost only listen to deathmetal and watch the worst horrormovies but this song make me cry like a little baby, its impossible not to
if i may, the one in the middle looks like the little girl, you three have sweet souls.
Gotcha lol it’s so good by her she has a beautiful voice n country music tells the best stories of truth god bless u guys
Even knowing it was coming when he turned and walked thru them to embrace her instant 😢😢
Check out Independence Day, it's another great one! Great reaction ❤
New subscriber here. You guys reacted like I do every time I hear this. Yes, the little boy was helping transition her to the other side. Never fails to give me chills.
Great reaction to one of my favorite singers! Please do Where have you been? By Allison Krause. Beautiful love story.
Never heard of that song.Kathy Mattea has a song named Where've You Been.
Martina sings powerful songs that make you emotional
I understand that these real life songs are so heart wrenching but the message is so important. And to be honest, millions of people watch reactors and will see this through you. God bless all of you for your help in spreading these messages.
One of her best "happy" songs is called "Happy Girl". Very upbeat. The woman can sang!
IDK WHY BUT I FEEL SOME MUCH FRIENDLYNESS FROM THIS TRIPLE SET OF LADIES GOD BLESS YOU ALL THANK YOU ON A SIDE NOTE AS WELL, I OWE MY LIFE TO .........
That song breaks me. I had the same childhood, but I survived.
No matter how many times I watch this it makes me tear up. Thank you for your reaction.
The song itself is sad enough by itself. The video makes me cry every time
YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!! you guys caught that little boy disappearing and realized that he was her guardian angel, i cant tell you how many people ive watched react to this song and they dont get it when it happens it takes your breath away when realization hits i love the fact that you guys pay attention and dont interrupt the song every 30 seconds juts to hear yourselves talk about nothing involving the songor the meaning behind it
My son is my whole life. I cry every single time I see this video. Thank you for reacting.
Thank you for reacting to this. It’s emotional but Remember These songs are healing to abuse survivors. And more people need to remember the children.
Martina did this song cause this happened to her niece!!!!!! True facts.
Hi ladies. I had to subscribe when I saw all your beautiful faces and I loved your reaction. This song made me cry. 😢😢😢
Thank you so much for your kind words. She has a beautiful voice, and that song expresses something that happens far too often and breaks our hearts no child should be abused
The video/song is the true story of what happened to Martina's niece. The name on the grave, Angela Carter, is the little girl killed by her own mother.
So not true - do your research
"Concrete Angel" is a song written by Stephanie Bentley and Rob Crosby, and recorded by American country music artist Martina McBride.
You ladies are all awesome. I love Martina and this song. Most people who react to this video miss the part of the boy being her guardian angel. But yall didnt miss a beat!!❤
Try “Gods Will” by her, just fantastic.
I think she is trying to make people aware of the fact that this is happening in the world, to children who are abused. its a very powerful message
A difficult topic to sing about but hopefully by showing the video it helps someone going through abuse.
Im almost 50yrs old & when I was about 10yrs old 1 of my classmates was getting abused. I immediately told my dad who was a police officer. Her mom was also being abused & with my dads help he was arrested & put away for a long time. Her mom & her moved 2,000 miles away to her grandparents.
song suggestions.......'Alyssa Lies' Jason Michael Carroll's and Rascal Flatts - What Hurts The Most
Great reaction ❤
He was her guardian angel sent down to help her pass over and help- her through the pain he was a child of abuse and died from it and wanted to help others
Martina McBride is an awesome singer you gotta hear her sing Broken Wing at the Live Farm Aid
I tear up just a bit when I hear this song. If y'all need a fun one from her, "This one's for the girls" is wanna her best in my opinion.
Alyssa lies is another PHENOMENAL song
Ive seen the music video so many times and what hit me at the end all those babies were lost the same way thats why they were there for her
The little boy is an angle that helps her fly to the place where she’s loved.
Angel*
This song was to call attention to the child abuse situation in our country and worldwide. It was VERY controversial when it came out but did go on to win many awards. Great reaction ladies! I would like to see you react to Terri Clark "If I Were You". I promise you won't need tissues.
Most Terri Clark songs are ass-kickers!! “I Just Wanna be Mad” is a good one, as is “Better Things to Do”.
No child deserves abuse
Like that
It’s the visual video that explains and destroys us who love kids and life!😢
Just to be clear; Martina didn’t write this song and it has nothing to do with her sister or her niece. It was written by Stephanie Bentley and Rob Crosby. Martina just sings it.
Thank you for dispelling this urban legend.
It doesn't matter who wrote it she knew what she was singing and put her all into it. And because of that it became not only a good song but a good video. A story that needs to be seen and heard.
Nobody Writes there own songs. Smh 🙄
@@SpencerReidFan666 Nobody? Really?
No but that is her nieces name on the headstone
The little boy is supposedly her guardian angel that shows her love.
Gods will by Martina Mcbride make you cry too
This song is about Martinas 7 year old niece .... yes Martinas sister killed her own daughter at 7 years old.. the head Stone is her actually her nieces
All the children in heaven are angels that are free from abuse
This song hits hard for Martina as it is about her niece who was abused and killed by Martina's sister
Three wooden crosses by Randy Travis is beautiful
Love your reaction to MM. I don't know if you know that that song was written because of MMs niece,, yes martinas sister killed her 7 year old daughter,, and the headstone in the video is her actual head stone... Yes it is❤️
Yea the song is sad and pretty
another song that highlights Child Abuse is "Alyssa Lies" by Jason Michael Carrol
This song is based on a true event in Martina's life. Her niece was berated to death
Martina McBride army favorite singer .but the the video is sad how can any mother do this to her child but it has a happy ending for the young girl
The headstone in the video is the real headstone of Martine's neice who was murdered by Martine's sister at the age of 7. It is implied that the boy is the the ghost of a child who was killed from abuse who comes to the girl before she passes to show her friendship for the first time in her short life.
The little boy in the video is her guardian angel
Sometimes music is made just to feel.
If you haven't heard the song wait in the truck by Hardy featuring Lainey Wilson. Please watch it. It's so emotional especially the video.
this is a true story of Martina McBrides niece who died in 2002
the grave stone you see belongs to her niece,
You can't just feel good and happy all the time in this world. You need stuff like this to remind you of what happening, and hopefully motivate you to step up and say something, or do something, if you see it is happening, instead of just going on as if you didn't see anything.

No child should have to go through this
