I got a sinario: I work in a shipping job, and I need a really really great beater knife, I don’t mean scheels shelf knives, I mean a REAL beater. Nothing kershaw, just a REAL beater. Preferably a folder, $100-$260. Tough steel, durable material, and very resistant.

The answer is a spyderco manix 2. Myself and 3 other guys on my construction crew carry them and swear by their cutting ability and durability. I’ve played with that BM Adamas too, the spyderco manix feels way more solid and is much more ergonomic for when you’re using it hard. Carried knives since I was 8 ,spent at least 5k on them, and the manix 2 is the best I’ve ever had. The lock may require some breaking in, but it’s a perfect knife otherwise. Plus you can find them in tons of different steels.

Paramilitary 2 from Spyderco is probably the best in that price but it isnt very unique. I suggest looking att fällkniven since they have amazing folders with laminated steel in that pricepoint. I have a Fällkniven F1 that Ive been using whilst working in the military since 1997 so I can say it is an extremely good and proven design.
