The third Pantera home Video was my first exposure to live concert footage and backstage shit of any band on that level. Prior to that I had maybe seen shit on MTV News. 10 second clips of bands backstage and whatever. Holy shit did the Hulk Blood segment absolutely blow me away as a 14 year old kid !!! Back then that was really the only way you could see anything about guys like Pantera and the bands they toured with because the only other place you had for content on extreme metal bands was magazines and they didn't show you that shit LOL. To see that video and find out these guys playing this kind of music all had hilarious regular ass people personalities was so eye opening for me at that age. Again it was the only window you had cause there was no place to just look up their last interview on a podcast or see their entire set from a festival that happened two days ago. I think it is awesome that we have such widespread access to these guys in this day and age but todays kids will never know having to part with 25.00 dollars that took you 4 hours of work to earn for a VHS just so you could see your favorite band actually moving in front of your eyes LOL. That made shit like the Home videos that much more legendary. Back in those days if you wanted that kind of access you had to put money on the line to see it unless someone you knew had it. I used to stare at album inserts of bands trying to imagine how they might look playing live or what their personalities were.
