Try playing both versions (old and new) at the same time. It
sounds epic. The very begining had such a 'fulfilling' sound to it. i think its becuase some keys are doubled up, that...wandering melody' but the rest is all perfectly in tune with each other.
Perhaps you could release a 'mixed' version, where both are combined.
The old soundtrack provides the baseline for the music, while the new version both amplifies the old and adds all the new stuff to it.
its tricky to do via youtube, you have to have both windows open side by side, but if you time it right, its awe inspiring.
of course the new version is two seconds faster, so you cant simply play it on loop. but i digress.
Also i love the contrast between the two images. you can see how much time has past.

There are sailboats, the houses paint is worn, but still has color. the young girl walking down the dusty street, maybe on her way to school or on her way home.
New image.
The whole image is darker, there are cargo ships instead of sailboats,, the house looks run down and disused. The road is pitted and run down, after years of use,and much of the land is now overgrown, reclaimed by nature. The girl is gone. Maybe she moved away? Maybe she's all grown up? Maybe she died...
Either way, it truly is...

I'm listening to this beautiful music after saying my goodbyes to my father a few minutes ago. He wanted permission to pass away after hanging on to life during the past week. He's still with us, but is slowly fading away. Thank you for this wonderful piece of music, Marcus.

The image reminds me of my father, he told me that when he was young Japan looked a lot like what I see in this video's image. We now live in 2 separate continents, but I'll see him again once this pandemic is over.

while the older one sounds more like a calming rain, with ticks of endlss time with each drop of water, this sounds like a fufilling journey, someone who has begun to seek myths and legends

Just a tiny bit of my perspective on this song. I've dealt with typical teenage lonliness, and all complicated things that come with that. I thought I'd never find someone, but here I am. Finally I did it, and all it took was the courage of one person. Not me, but someone else. And now here I stand, on top of a hill looking out at the cityscape. I don't know how to describe how I feel, but this song I connect with. Anyways, thanks for taking time out of your day to listen to the romance crazed ramblings of a teen.

I'm (riding, not driving) in the car right now so I can't really hear all the little things in the background very clearly due to the noise of the car. I know you must have added some background parts because it sounds slightly different. The main melody is clear and bold, and sounds beautiful and very inspirational. I Know The World Is Truly Ending All Around Us, The Plagues Of Egypt And Prophecies Alike, But I Never Expected It Literally Come Full Circle At This Depth; The Universe Is Screaming At Me At This Point, And I Can Hear It Telling Me "It's Almost Time To Return Home". Heeeeey, it's been a while!
You know, youtube's been a major goofball and hasn't told me that you've been doing anything up until now.
I didn't think you'd quit all those years ago, but I also didn't know where you'd gone until I checked out the rest of your channel, and sure enough, there you are.
I like the warm mix you've got with this, and the vocals blend in very well with the overall atmosphere. I feel like it's a little left-biased, but everything's so lush that it doesn't matter very much -- everything that needs to be prominent comes through strongly, and there's no emptiness at all.
The transitions are on point and, well, the whole thing's just great altogether.
It's nice to see other orchestral guys around. A lot of us fell off, but there are also a lot of new faces thanks to people like you being such an inspiration early on.

I recognise your name too from way-back-when, thanks for stopping by! In my defensive the orchestra has a tendency to be a little left biased with the melody instruments normally sat on that side (not an excuse for a bad mix though so will address this for the album release). As for the rest of it, I haven’t touched base with any of that in years. CZcams has decided to merge all my channels and so everyone has sort of come together on this one new channel, apart from nobody understands what is happening and so is unsubscribing haha. You know this just reminded me of an anime. I don’t know what it’s called but it’s about a boy who went through an alleyway and ended up on basically the other side of reality. And this wolf/bear creature took him in and trained him.
