"These are a quality sounding product from Bose."
- Zeos, 2021
The review I've been waiting for! đŻ And also my condolences. Keep it up Z!!
Great review! Btw I love the little picture of Chewbacca in the background â€
Totally agree with you. Love mine, they are prolly the best closed cans i heard so far (incl 770, 371 etc)
I've been waiting for this review...
I have the QC35 and they are great for traveling, especially because then I can keep my more expensive cans safe at home.
đNow try latest ANC earbuds of Bose, walk outside and get deafened by the wind.
a Positive Bose review. That's a new one :D
Just started looking more into audio equipment stuff and see the name zeos floating about, sounded familiar... remember seeing you about on gmod servers way back when and watching some of simracing videos.
I was unaware of the cq35 firmware update debacle... I haven't updated mine in the 5 years I've had mine... Still works fine.
Bose told me Custom eq should be coming soon excited for that
I got a pair of unused QC35 II sitting in the box, got my first pair replaced because of a sporradic static noise explosion sound that just appears from nowhere. Might start using them again, really miss the nice comfy fit.
Something that never gets talked about with the Sony headphones is in the cold months the touch surface would freak out and the headphone would shut off if you were outside. I had to return the XM3's to get the Bose QC35 because I used to take the bus to work and walk a few blocks.
Thats news to me. But makes sense.
Do you review cheap IEMs, would love to hear your thoughts on KZ buds.
You can actually force your qc35s to the original factory firmware - there a bunch of tutorials available and it takes 10 -15 min to do it.
z can you review hearing protection for shooting? and which dac & amp works best for them.
seeing the xperia on the desk again, lookin forward to the review for that, been thinking about picking one up
Iâve had mine for a couple of months now and I love it! Battery life is quite bad, but I donât really mind as no phone with decent hardware lasts a full day with how I use them.
@@Coda-Ch. I do miss my Motorola's Battery packs. The Wireless ones I use on the sony basically stop it from losing any power but barely charges it when the phone is in use.
@@ZReviews you can always buy a used Motorola for Old times sake...
I had the qc 35, and just wanted to make sure you approved of the 45's and now i bought one thanks!
@Stein Mauer I remember the 35 sounded great rught out of the box no complaints at all... And with the 45s at first I was disappointed... I was like did I just spend 350 bucks and sounds like cheesy... Did the update and there might be 2 updates and its sounded better and more full... It does not sound better than 35 but the same after the updates but you get awareness now.
I love the passive mode... It allows me to drive with my headphones on while still being full aware if everything even the road noise... The ANC is very powerful and I actually use it with my table saw.
It does sorta feel like you in a airplane a little bit if you not playing anyhting, biggest issue I had was the clamping force is a little much and I do not have a big head... To where after a few hours you need to take them off. I will say that the 45s have a better head cushion by far
Hahaha, your reviews are awesome. I love the NC700 hate. I really get you.
good review zeos, even tho i wont really buy anything this expensive i still appreciate it because i listen to your videos on the background while gaming or doing other stuff
Listen to youtube video while gaming? Are you a professional gamer?
Get the soundcore q30, after you use the app to eq theyll sound amazing
@@Ashwekar how does one say "professional gamer" Unironically
@@homer289 hey man ppl legitimately get paid for it nowadays. The prize money for rainbow six one year was a cool 2 mil if I'm not mistaken.
@@homer289 I mean it's actually pretty big especially in Japan. A lot of the streaming houses on twitch are based on gaming I think as well. Don't follow it closely and that's pretty much the extent of my knowledge m
The Bose QC45s DO actually TELL you what itâs connecting to, one or two devices and their names plus the battery life on the headphones one after another once you turn them on. And now they also have an EQ in the app with the latest update. For those who donât know. Now you do. Best sounding ANC headphones and most comfortable ones ever as well. Best buy ever.
Hey there, I own a pair of QC35II and love them.
I've been ignoring firmware since years, I just use them via cable+ANC.
Didn't know about the shady firmware updates, is there a specific firmware I should avoid or one that officially sounds the best?
Thanks!
Seems like the newest firmware update fixed that issue (4.8.1). Too many people complained about that and they fixed it lol
IMO, they actually sound better with this firmware update (4.8.1) than the version you get when they're brand new.
Since you are a big fan of certain Philips headphones, I think it would be worth to give Philips Fidelio L3 a try. đ There are not many reviews of them around the web currently, but those few reviews have been fairly positive.
Theyâre on sale for $250 I think Iâm going to get them. Great review thank you.
Listening on a pair of Taotronics Soundsurge 60 Anc ( 50-70 ish ) which are my daily driver knockarounds that I use when mowing and such , not bad considering price and the voice sounds like an English speaking French woman.
Which mode do they sound best in?
i have Sennheiser Epos Adapt 660 with touch surfaces... and i really like them. I like run with these listening to music or audio books and i don't need to get my mobile phone out of the pocket. Coming really handy. ;-)
Have you compared these to the Bose QC earbuds
Oh god, i didnt expect hearing Anime "KiLL la KiLL" soundtracks at the beginning lol. I love hiroyuki sawano's music as well.
Some say many comments help the algorithm
here's another then.
Before these came out, i used the soundcore q30 and q35 as my anc can. Both are unbelievable value at $80 and $130 respectively. Theyre so good in fact that after i used their eq in the app, they were my number 1 anc headphone in ANY price bracket. They start reduculously V shaped by can be tuned to be flatter than the hd660s. I love them to fucking death
But these... are just something else. I'm losing LDAC, personalized EQ, the best app in the industry, the absolutely insane batter (60 hours without anc, 40 with) and the obvious value.
So you know bose did something right for me to jump the shark. Using them right now, worth every penny
I like my q30. Not sure if it's worth money to upgrade to ldac. But I am incredibly glad soundcore is now adding ldac to some older products like the Liberty Air 2 pros. I doubt they would give them to the q30s or there'd be absolutely no reason to buy the q35s.
i compared the ldac of the soundcore with real hi res headphones... and its fake.
they soind good but they are noy real hi res.
How do you EQ your QC45s
HD660 S aren't really flat to begin with tho.
Have you reviewed the new baerdynamic dt 700 pro?
Thanks!
Which is better you take QC 35 Versions or 45 headphones please ?It's worth it to take the Qc45 please?
Does anyone knows how these compare with sony? in nc & sound?
Do you NEED to download the app in order to get the headphones to work?
I'm having this vision of Mr. Marbles from Seinfeld shuffling around your living space at night turning stuff on and off and causing the wooden floors to creek.....I have a lot of free time on my hands.
Can you compare them with Shure Aonics 50?
Hey Z, you may wanna try the Samson SR850 budget headphones đ§. I think they might surprise you đđ Maybe a review is in orderâŠ
The Sony WH-1000XM4 are currently on sale on Amazon for 249$ which might be a better deal for the price
Xm4 are definitely best value, especially with custom pads like the dekoni ones that make them super comfortable. They also have LDAC, the best ANC tech and sound great if you tweak it a bit in the app.
I saw that. Lowest I've seen new.
Only if your happy with using a touchpad instead of actual buttons
I got QC35 for 180. Worse?
Not with the current QC45 sale at 279 đ€·ââïž
I'm wearin em rn and they don't do me wrong. just a bit quieter than the 15's
Have anyone heard of (or heard) Yamaha's YH-L700A noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones?
I got them about a month ago, and they might not be the best at cancelling noise, but I'd argue they're the best sounding headphones in the wireless consumer market. They have a myriad of features of 3D sound with some tricks like headtracking.. kinda like a wireless Mobius, but having sort of a club sound to them.
I can't wait to get my hands on a PS5 to enjoy that Tempest technology they're touting!
I wonder how these compare to the Sennheiser Momentum 3's. My only gripe with the Momentums is the mic/sensor in the ear cup rubs my ear lobes.
What are the top wireless headphones without ANC?
Zeos I wish you would review the Anker Soundcore Q35 as well
Send them to him and something nice
@@Twist_av_Lemon why would I want a review of something I already bought?
@@Ashwekar why ask him to review them then?
@@Twist_av_Lemon oh god. I don't have it. I want him to review it so that it'll help me make that decision. I wouldn't bother asking him to review it if I had it already.
Satsuki's themeđ„°
At this point, I feel like spam but I thought the little girl on the wallpaper was hiding because she was frightened. the fact she was noise cancelling makes much more sense.
Wind noise may be a dealbreaker for some on this. If bose added a wind mode this would be fixed. Everything else is a win. You dont need EQ when the sound is right. Less boomy and better treble than the 700, notably better anc than 700, better fit, lighter. I sometimes miss the 0-10 range of ANC but most times I dont. Long term review youll find the treble can edge slightly on being peaky with some material but for the most part these are better than so many headphones its kind of funny. You could use these to do studio work I bet cause they are so honest and flat. The anc gives you a mostly black background, slight hiss compared to 700 but I will take that since the ANC is so much better. The imaging ability is quite good, super good even. The voice is the worst. On the 700 I turned it to tones, IDK if that setting is on these QC45 havent looked yet. No eq either but I am a hipster with a crazy setup, I can just use EQ APO or Wavelet haha. I have no need to eq these and I usually eq headphones
Got the XM3's for 200 had the QC35's dint want to shell out 350 for the 45's
What's that keyboard? I'm interested in the round key caps.
That is an Aukey and the keycaps were some random set I got on amazon. Well 2 sets. Black and White
I was comparing these to Skulls Hesh ANC and bought the Skullcandys instead, they were 130 vs 450 for these I canât say these headphones sounded $320 better
new sony phone! nice!
I currently use beats studio 3 wireless
Review Sennheiser Momentum wireless 3
Are these good for gaming?
0:17 shit, I hope they're expensive! I don't need anymore headphones but I can already fu####g tell that you sold me on them... in 17 seconds. đŁđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđđ
these vs sony WH-1000XM5 ??
You didn't mention the Pandas at all, is their noise cancelling not comparable to the Bose/Sony/Apple's?
They don't have noise cancelling. Not active anyway. They are passive. And I should have mentioned them I just haven't used mine in a few months. So neutral and a bit heavy.
these vs xm4 aynone?
Im still happy with my beyer lagoons
So these or the Sony xm4?
basically their anc goes 10hz lower than sony xm4's. Not sure how is the anc cabin pressure though in comparison...
Bruh..... I JUST now (@4:53) realized what I'm seeing on his desktop/wallpaper. smdh
What headphone was it that you said you didn't want to review because then you would have to stop listening to it? I can't for the life of me remember, and I know it was a pair I was interested in but my dumbass forgot to write the name down.
Holy shitt he finally got a modern phone?
Your a Phone
You said the AirPods max donât sound that great⊠are you using AAC Bluetooth codec? Because they donât do APTX so youâll just get basic SBC if you donât give them AAC.
Surfing on the apple hate always gives you some internet points. No need to really dig too deep on this.
Do the AirPods Max work better with IOS only devices? Apple Music with their new Spatial Audio?
@@denislemieux7294 With current firmware, the AirPods Max support Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos from iOS devices. But on ANY device, they need the AAC codec, not APTX, for good quality.
get the Senns HD25 and you dont need ANC feature and better sound
I want the wallpaper from the phone, please....
Are they more comfy than the QC35s?
I'd say on par.. But Dekoni is sending me their new QC pads to try.
you should make a google spreadsheet like dms has! Or something similar
all of HiFiGuides.com was suppose to be that. But it takes 2 people to update that.
@@ZReviews maybe every now and then you can make a tier list video!
Went from Bose QC35II to Sony XM4.
The touch surface on the Sony's is overboard, almost to an annoying level. I end up doing things unintentionally all the time, and manage to keep turning on "speak to chat". Other than that the Sony's are great.
I have xm3 and xm4 and I don't use the touchpad so it doesn't matter to me đ€Ł
touch controls are just dumb in general. just have a giant fucking button...
LDAC/Aptx HD is no brainer. sbc no thanks.
Do I replace my argon with this best headphone?
no
Need some more Theeeessseeee interesting speakers âđđ»
zeosâ foobar mobile has album covers? who are you?
Finally, Bose has done something good... Kinda?
The bose app looks so much like the sony app
Still using these? can get these for $200 tempting, otherwise I am considering Sony xm4 and Sennheiser momentum 4. but both cost 50% more...
Yeah I don't think they're worth it for the money. Sony's offerings have great NC too and personally, the only reason to buy bose is for the NC.
Unfortunately it's not acceptable to sound leak hd600s everywhere I go.
I am not sure, isn' there a battery bay under one of the hinges? Also man the 700s were so bad. Doing the Apple for no reason.
QC35 didnât have a replaceable battery, these look to be the same. The QC25 did have a replaceable battery
Like an upscale pair of beats
I'm a bowers & wilkins PX7 man myself, the highs are a bit spicey but when the bass drops they make you shit.
yeah, I returned them a day after I had bought them. The bass was so ridiculously overblown it made most of the music unlistenable.
@@jakubpotocak9056 That's what I was looking for in a travel/workout headphone. What I like about them though is they don't seem to add bass to tracks that usually don't have much.
I watched this because I heard Zeos gave praise to Bose. It's like giving praise to a pair of Beats. It's something for everybody. Bose and Sony have the best ANC. But you can get 80% there with headphones that cost half the price. I have Bose and Sony products. Unless you catch a lot of planes I would recommend getting headphones that sound spectacular and get you 80% of the ANC you want.
Recommendation?
@@denislemieux7294 Anker Soundcore Life Q35 (best value) or Sennheiser PXC 550 (better audio quality).
@@denislemieux7294 The Anker Soundcore Life Q30's are older and cheaper than the Q35's but sound better, especially once you EQ them with the Soundcore app. I'd recommend decreasing 100 hZ -6 db, increasing 200 hZ +5 db, increasing 400 hZ +3 db, increasing both 800 hZ and 1.6 khZ +1 db, increasing 3.2 khZ +5 db, decreasing 6.4 kHz -3 db, and decreasing 12.8 khZ -2 db. Sonys and Boses wish they were as balanced and detailed as you can make these things.

You donât run house. House runs you.
I love how lame the voice is, brings me back.
You are gonna hate the ifi Go Blue then.
The fiil drifter voice is hilarious.
When will companies realise we hate that touch surface, you move your head and phone dials all sort of numbers⊠keep it simple
I'm still rockin' my old Sony MDR-7506s that I got for 99 bucks nearly 20 years ago. Changed the ear pads only once during that time and they still sound recording studio quality. you will not be able to say that about this cheap junk from Bose. I say cheap, but they're $279 (reg $329) on sale on Amazon.
I remember trying Bose wireless headphones a while back and the DT770 Pro swamped them in everything but ANC which tbh has never been a massive thing I've needed.
And no EQ for that money, youch.
I hate the fact you have to have an iPhone just to make your airpods max sound good. This is why I might try these when I get the money.
pretty fucked up that I get this video recommended right after I connect these headphones to my phone.
Weird that it doesn't speak the source, the Bose QC35 ii does tell the source and battery percentage when powering on (configurable in settings). I guess they will add it in a future update or revision.
I got the Q45 for 2 Weeks now and i can tell you, they do tell you everyting^^ Battery, connection Source etc just like the Q35 or Soundlink 2.
Lol âI sometimes get the two [capitalism and communism] mixed up.â Hahahaha thatâs one of the best quotes Iâve read in a while
good ol' Zeos review. They're better when there's stuff to hate too!
On a different note, I notice you have foobar on your phone but the skin is standard. I am very disappointed.
yah, he is obviously not as "individual" as you are *smiles peacefully*
@@Sporting1210 just teasing :)
I've thought about customising it myself but I suffer terribly from the case of the lazies...
After the feedback from many users reviews, the consensus I perceive is that the QC45 are in every respect a downgrade to the QC35, with the exception of the USB-C connection and the longer runtime.
Well if you consider better noice cancelling . Aware mode , no more fabric I head band that gets dirty. You can just wipe headband clean. Better call quality and feature with the call qualities. I am sorry if all there improve are down ground ? Not in my books. They def upgrade!
@Samuel Rodriguez oh yeah where is is opinion base on experience ? I love headphone and have many and I have both. However, 35 ii mic is good only in quite pieces. They showing there age now with lack of volume with the. Glad they updated them. Good upgrade but room for more. Feel bose was holding them back so people still buy 700âs.
"put the rpms up to like a lot , go to fucking bunny instead of turtle ....WREEEEEEEEEE"
Such superior story telling , we ain't worhty.
You convinced me yet again. 560s being the first pair
@Stein Mauer I tried both the qc45 and the sony xm4s. For me I prefer the xm4s so I kept these instead and returned the bose. The xm4s had a more punchy and deep sound. Bose sounded very boring after a few hours of listening. Sony also has better app features that let you customize alot more. Bose had a few eq sliders. Thats all basically. Search up the app differences if youâre curious. But for me the xm4s is the winner.
@Stein Mauer Of course man, I am very glad to be able to help you. Yes I have the 560s still, but I don't use them as much anymore, though I am very satisfied with the sound. But in my opinion wireless xm4 beats out the cabled 560s. A big plus for Sony because they are wireless. But if you're looking for a headset to use only when on the computer the 560s is a very good choice.
if bose change those voice they add $100 more for the price.
3:10 That's weird *let's ask The Duck* first link is an article about how Bose investigated themselves and concluded that they did nothing wrong... Very reassuring. I'm sure they learned their lesson and won't do that again when they want to release a new product :-|
After my experience with Sony ANC cans (they were OK but the noise cancellation made me anxious, no idea why, probably some infrasound shit I don't understand) I think I'll stick with really good noise isolation. Hell, I've taken my Etymotic IEMs with the grey foam tips to the shooting range. I just wish the folks at Etymotic would release a cable with a damned mic on them so they could be my go "STFU world" listening device AND the pair I keep for phone calls, zoom, etc.
RIP Chewbs, we barely knew ye and watching Zeos pick cat hair out of pads will be missed.
the anc won't hurt you. it's just there to cancel out noise and that's it. The only reason I bought my ANC headphones were to cancel out noise while I'm in the airplane, and then they just sit on my bed collecting dust till my next flight. Never really do any real listening with them.
