SNV Uganda: dairy farmer-to-farmer mentoring

- Over the years, dairy farmers have participated in a number of training sessions aimed at improving their farming and management practices. However, less than 50% of the trained farmers have adopted improved practices while others have maintained their conventional practices. SNV’s Dairy Farmer-to-Farmer Mentoring programme targeting 75 farmers in eastern, western and south western Uganda is restoring farmers' confidence and addressing the poor adoption challenge through peer to peer learning.

Where can I get pasture seeds in Uganda/Mbarara
South African, brazilian, indian and Australian breeds are best suited for our climates. Or crossed with friesians. European ones are too rapacious and not disease resistant.
