I have finally embraced my dark auburn hair! I have been dying it neutral brown tones since I was 16. I am pretty fair with dark brown eyes and super dark eyebrows, but living in the tropics my skin turned a little darker and my hair became lighter and redder. I used to get teased for my hair color (especially the uneven lightening of it due to swimming daily with a Dutch braid in) s I tried to drown out the tone. Now, 20 years later I am embracing the red and trying to figure out how to play with my makeup look. Thanks for the vid! It's given me a great starting point.
ty i swear gingers get left out of the community- our challenges are many- super pink skin/color correcting... everything looks painted on because colors are too light or too dark- like it’s such a struggle- and if a concealer needs to be a shade lighter than your skin tone? hahaha I’m already the lightest shade so there is no such thing
Shade 3 in the luminous silk is lovely and fair. And not pink at all either perfect for those of us with reddish tones to our hair but not blue eyes and super pink skin x
Lisa, I understand your issue! I have neutral tones but am pretty fair when out of the sun for too long (quarantine sucked) and have found that the 4 and 4.5 shade also work for neutral and neutral t peach tones. You should give those a try as well.
I know you posted this a long time ago but i appreciate and am so glad I came across it. I also have red hair and dark dark brown eyes and darker eyebrows. We are few and far between. Every video for redheads had people with green eyes. So thanks again!

Majority of redheads have brown eyes followed by hazel and green. Blue eyes with red hair is the rarest!

My grandson has red hair the same tone as yours with brown eyes and dark eyebrows in Britain it is common. I had red hair that became auburn as I got older.

I’m so happy that I found you because, it’s damn near impossible to make any Jeffrey Starr make up work with my complexion I have freckles not very dark I have the same exact auburn hair and my brows are slightly darker you can see the little picture in the thumbnail,now that’s what I look like with glowing gloss and Neutrogena foundation powder and a little bit of mascara!!! However I want to explore more into the realm of how to do my lashes and what looks good on my skin tone as well as what looks disgusting and horrifying like Matte full coverage Juvias s place foundation which is going to be great for Halloween but for real though what am I doing? I have freckles and I don’t have too much knowledge on my make up times, but I have a lot of high and pallets from Jeffrey Starr and a few from Julvias place because I am drawn to absolutely vibrant colors! I’m a painting and tattoo artist soooo I don’t always want a natural look I want to stand out because I do , correctly,what I want not to look like a freaking clown either! I’m so in need of a real redhead Auburn MUA much like your self to walk me through this 😂 help!
Aww well stick with me and we will get through this!! For foundation always go for something light coverage and then you can spot conceal when you need it. That way you won't feel like you are wearing a mask! As for eyes wear bright colours!!

not all red hair is "warm"
people compare cool toned auburn hair to artificial colors for cool toned Auburn... but natural color is far more complex than artificial coloring
I've struggled with this puzzle for years I know it doesn't seem like it I'm fairly certain that I'm either neutral or warm undertone but I have a pink overtone and my auburn hair has magenta undertones I see it in the sunlight you see it in various photos especially and certain lighting like cloud cover or rain and I actually find I look best when my hair looks more Magenta toned... I'm still experimenting right now but what I'm finding is if I choose a color that is subtly cool it brings out that coolness in my hair and then I finally look like I'm a living human instead of a pale pasty ghost walking around 😂

Have you tried peachy undertone foundation? My undertone is not cool or warm or natural I think it’s peachy. I might be wrong

See no matter what I put on the foundation after minutes dries out & gets blotched & patchy. As u can see in my profile pic it doesn't look bad, (p.s. that's the prettiest pic ever of me, my own mother asked me who she was....!!!) But in that pic u wouldn't believe it but for some reason it turned out like that but I really was dark copper color, I blended like 5 different dark shades. I'm so super insecure, & would give ANYTHING to have a darker skin tone, cuz even though I might be using wrong primers it'd still would have the same results, now after I shower I lightly dab Jergens Natural Glow Medium to Tan daily moisturizer & the next day I look a shade or 2 darker & its better than nothing I guess.
