It's funny how people are saying he butchered a CR. Remember that the CR was made specifically for more performance on the track, so this car is right where it should be.

For the value i would sell the CR and buy a "regular" S2000 and do this. I have a 00 F20C, im not going full race, so im reluctant to remove all the soft top parts, add a carbon top, to loose weight. Will maintain it failry stock, just with the mandatory mods for track days

@@brunomanco7529who cares, if this man has the money to fully build this monster why should he care what s2000 he buys? At the end of the day he can do what he wants with it.

My first experience with autocross was when I came out to spectate and learn more about the club before participating. Robert Thorne and The Big Bad Wolf were running in the Rocky Mountain region back then in BSP, and seeing it out there, I naively asked if I could ride along for a lap. Robert graciously let me ride along, and words cannot even begin to describe the sensation of being a passenger in that car. Mind you, that was back when it "only" had 240 whp.

Robert is a great guy, and an ambassador for the sport. Cool to see him doing so much with this versatile build.

He has the TTU record here in Pueblo still. When I saw the record I had to do some research to figure out the car and when I saw it was a s2k I had to find some video or a pic of this thing. A guy here with 620hp corvette in TTU NASA ran 1:33 this weekend(and was the fastest) to give you an idea of how fast that s2k is

Pretty incredible build. Kind of a bummer it was once such a collectible, stock CR.

One one hand, it's a bummer to see a certain future collectible get cut up. On the other hand, this thing absolutely rips ass, and if you're going to cut up a classic, make it count.

Robert was a BEAST in this for One Lap of America. If you want to know what dedication is like, Robert is it. He welded the exhaust manifold like 5 times at NCM to keep it going. He stopped every 80 miles to refill his tiny fuel cell from jerry cans he kept on his trailer. He ran a window AC unit in the trunk, powered by a generator running on his tire trailer! DEDICATION

Gorgeous and functional car. I have a mostly stock looking berlina black aswell (besides suspension and wheels) but I love these types of builds too. To anyone hating on this: Sorry that he didn't build HIS car the way YOU wanted it. lmao

could have started with a $12k regular AP2 but started with a $30k CR instead?

It was an incremental build, and to maximize results with class rules the CR was the best choice.

I'm excited to hear if he brought back the antilag rocket. Any footage of that setup in action? What kind of power does this car make?

Hey who made your splitter with the bumper extension. My tires stick out about close to an inch from the front bumper. Any advise on where I can get one. I know it would help my aero

This is an awesome build, but the fact this dude basically built a $150k S2k to compete in AutoX is lame. Whole point of AutoX was to get away from needing a $200k race car to compete with the track guys. This guy and the dudes running GT3 RS’s really bringing it right back to pay to win.
