The pronounciation of coop is very sweet. The reason you talk about membership is because it's a form of company called a cooperative, meaning it's members are essentially shareholders. Originally started in Scotland, so correctly it is co-op, with a hard c ;)

It's 5am, I'm thinking about seeds for some reason, and how long some may last before they can't be planted anymore. This got me thinking about the seed vault on Svalbard. With that in my mind, i suddenly got curious, what amenities does Svalbard have, since it has a somewhat significant population for such a northern arctic island.
Glad i looked it up, really interesting to see how well developed and accommodating Longyearbyen is for it's residents. Thank you for sharing c:

@@twinspast141 It's a city drenched in water involved with a country with a deteriorating monarchy and mild yet still present civil unrest. Housing prices are skyrocketing, and bank interest rates are going as high as the sky, and there is no hope.
@@myspecialman1916 Svalbard is not without problems. If you look at similar videos about London then you won't get any such impressions, just like how the original poster didn't get negative impressions from this video.

Thanks so much! We are coming in June - unfortunately only with one of the bloody cruise ships 😅, but would lobe to come April 2024 with the family. The Problem is, we have three kids, the youngest one nearly 6 by then. Do you think we can do Snow mobiles with three (one adult taking two Kids)?

Those are not reduced prices for being members. The prices are increased for everyone who does not want to give up their purchasing data. Just stop being members and go to a different store to get rid of this ridicilous system.

I think you need to speak at least one Scandinavian language and maybe English. Some places might hire with just English. You would have to check.

You can come, but you cannot buy the right to real estate. If you can pay for accommodation and services, you can live. But before death, everyone is taken back to their homeland. Dying is prohibited on the island and there is no cemetery.
