    "I've never cleaned anything before... Oddly satisfying!" Ha Ha. Whilst the after deck of your boat and workshop do tend to testify to this, the surveyor seemed extremely impressed with the condition of the engine room - and so he should be. I guess you were too humble to point this out in your review ;)
    I am guessing that by "cleaning" you don't include hard slicing, scraping, needle gunning, sand-blasting or solvent washing!! Stu, I think inside that shambolic exterior there is a neat freak trying to get out. Stay safe!

      It isn't necessary to register the boat like it is with cars, but it is need to get insurance, particularly with an old steel boat. Insurance companies hate them!

  • @jasonh6048
    @jasonh6048 Před 4 lety +1

    I reckon you need a bridle on that ducky rope to spread the load between the two tow eyes and create less drag because the boat will be towing more naturally. I like to splice a single rope onto each eye long enough that you pull over it over front of the boat when underway so it can’t be sucked under the boat and then just tie a loop (overhand knot) in the middle - then attach a main line to that.

    • @DangarMarine
      @DangarMarine  Před 4 lety

Always great to get an accurate statement of mechanical health to give you a good idea of what needs to be addressed before you put the old girl back to work.
