I’m looking to get one of these but I also need a ronin rs 2. I don’t suppose you could me how you can see the camera footage and also setup the gimbal so you can control it ? It’s confusing me at the moment because I wasn’t sure if I need to run a cable from my camera to the monitor which I would need in the car, then to move the gimbal if I need to also, I would like a zoom control ring too so I’m not sure how I could get all of the above ! Any advise would be amazing ! Thanks

There so many car mounting rigs. 'Rig Wheels' makes my favorite. Not too expensive at under a grand. There are Chinese knockoffs too. We used a Rig Wheels with a Alexa Mini. My heart was in my throat the whole time. Even with a safety strap!!!!! But beautiful images at night with reflections on the hood, and dialogue inside the car with the talent rigged with lavs.
For the issue of it being "too loose" while it was on the hood focused on the driver, just adjust the RS2's dampening on that axis to stiffen it up in the app. Yes, the gimbal might not be needed as long as you are on a smooth paved road. I take mine offroad on mountain trails and the gimbal is pretty essential in that scenario. You can also mount it lower by having it half on the hood and half on the front instead of 100% on top of the hood.

Unfortunately, this video shows how poor quality the arm is and also highlights the problems of typical Ronin - horizon drift. For me the footage (not image quality but just stabilization and image movement) from 4:27-4:52 looks like disaster - image is shaking in horizontal axis like a jelly.
It's pretty easy to fix. Check out "Bestboy Adam" video on it. Not to say that it shouldn't be like that to begin with, but it's not hard to correct. Takes about 10 minutes and $5. czcams.com/video/wdzX_KesTdw/video.html
Every clip was quick and the longest one showed vibration and shake issues which is what we have been hearing from this terrible product. Do an honest review next time...
