Been using a DX8 G2 tx for years and its been 100% reliable. Was considering a NX8, but the DX8 G2 does most everything the NX8 does, the only difference is the color screen but never pulled the trigger.
You would be crazy to upgrade from a DX8 to an NX8... not nearly enough value there. If you're wanting to upgrade, I would highly recommend the NX10 or even the iX lineup. The extra channels are coming in helpful with the way AS3X is setup now.
I noticed that too, but haven't noticed an issue in flight. I believe it has to do with the way the flight controller works. If you are still in doubt, hook up a servo to an XBC battery checker and see if the sweep is smooth.
Hey Brian I’m new to flying and just picked up a nx7e, trying to set up a sport cub s2 and cannot get panic to work and beginner mode sends elevator servo into a frenzy and have to back it down to 50% . I’m new to all this and stumped!
I am so confused… flaps? The plane looks to have only two control surfaces on the wing. To add flaps wouldn’t you need to install two more servos and cut the ailerons into a flap? Isn’t what you are trying to do is program flaperons? (But I admit I am not an expert.)
Flaps would be inboard and do not come on the Apprentice. They could be added, but it would require a pretty significant amount of modification. Flaperons are when the outboard aileron also acts as flaps. Sometimes flapperons are full length ailerons, it just depends on the airplane. Watching our videos will help to clear up some of your questions. Everybody has to start somewhere.
