In my opinion the judges putting jungwon rank down at the last producer elimination test on purpose to eliminated other trainee, Hanbin (vietnamese trainee) which get a lot off votes from iland viewer that sympathize with how low his screentime+ strong vietnamese support. Hanbin cam had the most views compared to other trainees. If Hanbin survived elimination by producer he will guaranteed to debut by viewer vote in final.
So by making it Hanbin vs Jungwon, it only make sense for judge to save Jungwon ("hidden ace" which viewer cant deny definitely more skillfull than Hanbin at the time) and easier to eliminate Hanbin without making Hanbin voters upset.
Yes this is just my opinion, but in one of jungwon+sunoo vlive watching some iland performance, even sunoo said he still didnt understand why the judges rank jungwon so low, when he thinks jungwon looks suit to the concept.
Jungwon really has a strong mindset during I-land and even after I-land which is why he is our Yang Leader right now. Not only that, he is also so talented and is constantly acknowledged and praised by the producers. He did so well whenever the producers rank them. His journey is so nervewrecking whenever global ranking comes bcs he was always placed in the middle. But hardwork really pays off and he finished I-land as the 1st placer.
Now, Jungwon really slays cute stages too and he is much much more confident to do cute stuffs now. He is an ace 💕 My bias~
Now, you need to prepare for Ni-ki's bcs his journey is a whole another level of stress. The evil editing, how the other boys treated him, his ranking. Aigoo.

jungwon has been so strong this whole journey and even now that he very very rarely cries that even all the other members say they admire his very strong mindset. jungwon is a huge jungkook fan, he has recommended every jk solo to engenes at this point, i can’t imagine how good it must have felt for him to receive that compliment 🥹
many people were confused when they first hear jungwon will be leader but he is doing very well now leading the group, i’m so proud of him. my first bias, my baby 🤍

Why were people confused that he was the leader?
as a jay and jungwon biased since I-land, ppl don't have any idea how hard it was for me. They both rank low before the finals. I still remember how we mass vote for the two of them. I'm so happy that they both got the highest rank at debut together. I'm so proud!

Tysm💞💞 Jungwon has caught my eye since the first time he had a scene in i-land. And I've never been disappointed at liking him. In i-land, he's a really nice guy, super talented, he's always good in every performance. What I also saw was that he was very humble. Even though he got the top scores many times, there were moments when he got a low rank. I was very worried that he would be eliminated. But he was able to use his abilities to develop and show them. I'm really proud of him. Nowadays, he continues to improve in all aspects and be a good leader for Enhypen.

I think JK’s compliment was really so meaningful to Jungwon since he is a really big fan of Jungkook and he even said several times in various interviews that jungkook is his role model!🥹🤧 He is so mature for his young age, love him so much💓💓🥺

jungwon has been my pick to vote for (during the show) and my bias (in enhypen) since the start. i havent changed my opinion once in all this time.
tbh, i dont like the hidden ace title he got. there's nothing hidden abt how talented and awesome he is since day 1. his voice is incredible. he is the most stable live vocal in enhypen by far. regardless of whether they're jumping, spinning on the floor, standing, running, wtvs it may be, he is so effing stable. plus, on top of that, his voice i've seen be called 'the trademark' of enhypen. new fans might not recognize the other members' voices right away, but you WILL recognize jungwon's.
his dancing is top tier as well. best dancer in the group after ni-ki (i hope you'll soon see their mix&max thing they did for mnet, the 2 of them).
he is sich a complete idol, on and off stage, so genuine, loveable, approachable.
as for content, it'd be best for you to maybe start with ENHYPEN&hi (2 seasons, 4 episodes each) cause it starts on the same night iland ended. then follow with en-logs (vlog type content of them doing different activities on their own, in units or as a whole group on tour) and en-o'clock (their variety show, the number of episodes will be 52 tmrw)
You're right. He's def an all rounder from the get go. I also love that he's your bias since day 1!

Yang Leader
Jungwon is the only trainee who ranked 1st two times and it's actually from the producers scores so it says a lot on how good he is. His voice really caught my attention right at the 1st episode and that made me really look forward to his performances. I've been a Jungwon, Heeseung, and Jay biased since I-land so the voting period was really stressful because I can't vote for them altogether. The last 2 votings plus the final voting was crazy considering we were only allowed to pick one that's why ranks were really unpredictable since priorities arise after ranks are announced. Seeing him perform live made me realize how much he improved as an artist and I think it will be amazing to see him grow more after a few years.
I love how he continues to grow and you guys see that progression. That's a sign of a great artist, you know?
