I say for the looks, go for it with fondant, not like the audience it eating it anyway. Me personally, I hate fondant, but like that's my problem. I also have a problem of I can't decorate cakes well, you can. So you do you my man :) clearly you're more up in the world than me (and so much more up in the world than the people screaming at you for using a lot of fondant)

Love this cake! It looks awesome. I grew up on SpongeBob so I love it even more haha. Also I just wanted to ask on the show is it cake did you use premade recipes for the cakes or did you have to come up with your own recipes for the cake?
As soon as I found out I could flavour fondant, it was no longer the enemy on cakes for me❤
How 👀 teach me
@MosMos add a couple drops of your favourite extract to your fondant mix. Or make marshmallow fondant.
I add lemon or citrus Flavours to my fondant as I just don't want it to taste as sweet. Citrus I find helps balance the sweet of cake n fondant.
You can google recipes to flavour and food colour your fondant. I often watch Ann readon videos on fondant for help
