The Trayce Jackson-Davis card was custom made on the Topps website. Most people make cards of their kids or family members with it and it is not supposed to be used for items like that.
The Zack Greinke is amazing. I PC him for the exact same reason. He's such a fascinating person who has absolutely earned his right to the HoF and has overcome some brutal obstacles, yet despite it all, he still kept his passion for the sport.
And he's also a really good batter for a pitcher as well.
Thanks for including my 53 Pee Wee Reese and story. Love the card. And hopefully one day my son will appreciate it the way I do. Thanks for all you do for the hobby.
Congratulations on getting that one. I hope to snag one for myself sometime soon.
Great job, Chris. Love that Reese action shot on the ‘53 Bowman. One day I’ll have one for myself. Have fun in Toronto.
Hi Chris, always enjoy watching regular rollers.
The best thing about this video is that you commented on every card except one. Sometimes during recent rollers you say what the submitter said but say nothing about your thoughts. I love it when I get your thoughts about the submission. Thanks for everything you do. I love your videos especially the recent rollers, my favorite by far.
In the late 90’s through 2010/11, material card were much more descriptive in tell you exactly what they were or from. It was the start of the phony patch cards (like OPC premier made up patches) that started the questionable authenticity of material cards. Around 2010 there was a mass sell off of this type (an Upper Deck former employee spilled the beans that the company was buying jersey’s at ridiculous low prices) but that seems forgotten now a days.
Hey Chris thanks for adding my pick-up! Also congrats again on the grail purchase, that was amazing! 👍
Kelce brothers both played for the University of Cincinnati. As a UC season ticket holder, never thought I was watching future Hall of Famers. Great card.
The aparicio went low because of the print line, not the old label.
I PC Zack Greinke because he was a Texas A&M pitcher.
Awesome! I'm going to the Expo on Saturday with my son. We'll have to stop by the booth. Love the videos. Keep up the great work.
With the Kelce card, its important to note that 2017 was Mahomes rookie year, so whatever is out there, is out there. Cuz it costs WAYYYYYY TOO MUCH to open 2017 product.
When I was a kid I opened my first auto out of proline portraits. It was Pepper Johnson. I was shocked, didnt even know it was possible to get one signed. That set was way ahead of its time.
Congrats on the auction house venture, looking forward to seeing how that plays out!
Those stereotypical photo-shoot kids on that Tagliabue card couldn't possibly be wearing more classic 90's clothes. It's just so perfectly staged! What a funny time capsule!
I think its his actual family. They had a bunch of shots of wives too.
That Kelce card is cool, will be interesting to see how much value it holds when the pop culture hype dies down.
In regards to that Greinke: sweet card. What bothers me is that it's another PSA slab where the card is upside down. For a company that prides itself on attention to detail, I surely see this wayyyyyy too often on horizontal cards / tickets / index card autos.
I like the Easter egg of Greinke being misspelled in your video title, referencing the misspelling in the auction listing.
Thank you, Chris, I WILL eat my vegetables!! 🥦🥔🥬🥕😋
The regular roller prices... are actually feeling more regularly. Love it.
You need to go on sports card radio
I will be in CANADA ALSO! Going to the Jays game.
Probstein charges for their service then makes these mistakes listing cards. I’ve noticed multiple mistakes recently. Why people still use them is baffling.
I have bern collecting 90’s inserts for a while. Inserts sets are fun to find in singles or as lots for cheap
The commissioners of football is why we pay so much for football tickets!(esp. in New England!)
Another stellar performance baseball card collector investor ninja autobot Jedi dealer! RE the Trace Jackson-Davis. If your “guess” is that it’s fake, then I too will go out on a limb and I will “guess” that water is in fact wet.
Im going to be at the show friday definitely will have to come by and say hello!
I love those proline autos. For many players it's there only pack inserted auto during there playing days. Just picked up a proline auto of Eric Dickerson the other day for $20. I'd much rather have that than a 2019 prizm Dickerson auto.
And they were stamped so nearly impossible to fake. Lots of great players too, including Dickerson.
@@gabriels1163 Actually these cards do have a lot of fakes. Getting an embosser made to stamp the card is very easy. Forgers would use ink eraser fluid to erase the number on the base card to make it look like the auto. The autos did not have a number on the bottom of the card but the base cards did. There was a guy that made tons of fakes in the 90s, mostly of the Muhammad Ali auto, yes Ali had an auto in the set. There were a ton of fakes with Ali signing as Cassius Clay. If you see a Cassius Clay auto from this set, run away. If you see an Ai auto from the set, its probably fake as well.
Majority of these cards are not worth faking, i would feel condifent in the $20 autos like Dickerson and more. A lot of great value.
Hopefully there is a part 2 that can get my submission from a couple weeks ago
Is this an error card, look at Jason's Jersey on his chest is 62 and his shoulder pads say 29?
Toronto, eh? Richmond Station at 1 Richmond St in Toronto is an awesome restaurant IMHO.
Did you pick up any hockey at the Expo?
Was that a custom card produced by Topps? I know you use to be able to make cars 3 through their website.
Thanks Chris!!
That 53 Pee Wee is gorgeous
Can you comment on 1991 stadium club football super bowl stamp parallels in a future video? There are not alot of comps out there. How rare are they?
Will SGC reslab cards with older labels?
I believe so
Thanks!
Not a new idea, but I might start buying old SGC labeled cards and pay to have them reslabbed. Probably a lot of opportunity out there.
Just did that with a Mario Lemieux SGC 7.5 in an old label. There is definitely some arbitrage there.
Buy at auction, sell as buy it now.
Having alot of issues shipping to the United States now via lettermail. This pokemom crap TCG has created the postal system to clamp down on goods being sent through lettermail....
“I’ll be at the Toronto card show….in Toronto” duh lol😅
gj chris as always . any opinion on kurts juice and cards?
Definitely not my thing.
@@collectorinvestordealer yea any liquid and cards seems a bad idea, seems snake oil salesmanish
Maybe it’s just me but I prefer low rollers over regular rollers
being regular gives me the feels
lol aren't we all suckers for 90s inserts purchased for mere dollars yet worth thousands in some cases.. 🙄..🤣
There is zero chance that SGC gives that 1956 Aparicio a 5.5 these days. That's an SGC 2/3 if graded now because of that nasty print defect right down the middle of the card.
Print lines are usually a point at most.
Richard, don’t you feel like that’s worse than a standard print line, though?
@DansVintageBaseballPC I've seen worse. It's noticeable but only really when looking at it up close. Also this was very common back then. They all do take into account that aspect.
Regular Rollers sponsored by EX LAX
Maybe it’s just me, but I prefer regular rollers over high rollers.
Me too, me too,
Because majority of us are regular collectors.
Love seeing people finding needles in the ole haystacks!
Maybe it's just me, but that line is played out 😂
we’ve been saying this for years now
gj chris as always. your value keeps going up chris. NOOOOO you got your hair cut
That Aparicio is off centered and has a glaring print line.
Hints why its a 5.5 and not higher.
Doi
eat your vegetables and be REGULAR
Trayce Jackson looks fake...the RC logo is a baseball logo!
Using an auction “snipping” service is borderline unethical. Wouldn’t go near those.
Agreed
You're at a disadvantage for not using it
For sudden death type auctions, they are invaluable. And on eBay, used by a good percentage of auction buyers.
Yes, please continue not using sniping apps. They are bad, nobody except me should use them
