They didnt change cars from an earlier scene. Usually Mr. K changes cars before going to clothing store but he fucked up.

They didn't change cars, in this case the cop is on their rights to cuff and at least get identity and GSR. If it wasn't them they would be able to sue after.

Irl RS allows cops to frisk, and GSR does not require warrant. Only relevant case about GSR i found was cops arresting someone with PC and GSRing - court ruled not a breach of 4th amendment
Tldr: they could detain them, maybe frisk, questionable if they could GSR. Good police work would be just watching the joint until they get in the car, and then pulling them over. Now they have PC
Also cops should always deescalate. Yes they dont have to say why they are being detained right away, but escalating the situation for no reason is doooogshiit police work
Exactly. If the guys ditched the car before, the cops wouldn't have had enough RS to detained them and perform a GSR test because someone changing clothes is not enough on its own to establish RS. I guess the guys were more annoyed by the female officer attitude during all this.
