About, The leader of this Blues band based in Detroit is a soulful vocalist with a great sense of style and nuance. His instrumental prowess on piano and saxophone is notable. The core of the band includes Danny (Guitar), Wayne (Bass), Bubba (drums); uniformly superb throughout. They are joined by sometime band-mates David (saxophone) and Doug (piano, organ), and the late great Jerry (guitar).
This Blues band is a "musician's band". You can bet there'll be several prominent local musicians in the audience wherever they perform. It's no fluke that musical people love the band. It's all about payin' dues and performing with exacting craft. And it's no wonder that several "A" List musicians are guesting on the album including such icons as Sherm (trombone, flute), Dave (harmonica), Mark (horns), and Jory (guitar).
This band is a throwback to a long ago time when music was…well… more musical. A time when hearing a live band was sheer delight. The energy of the music drove our passions. It was like taking a kernel of corn at room temperature, adding salt and butter, and heating it up. Bob and his assorted minstrels do just that. They heat up a divine musical stew that incorporates seemingly diverse influences such as jazz, blues, gospel, and rock. And behold a seamless musical archetype that puts a smile on your lips and a spring in your step. It makes you wanna get up and move.

Went to Detroit back in the 80S and listened to The Detroit band at a bar one night and fell in love. Where I fell in love with the blues! They are the best.

There's something about the blues. So smooth so free like loosing control of our otherwise rigid lives. Like with every stroke we let go of the restrictions that we have to set to protect our fragile happiness. Makes us realize how scared we are of the fear of being alone. Coz once we see the worst, we no longer try for the best, we settle for whatever little happiness we could get.

This is Jimmy McCarty from Rockets fame, he played in many Blues bands in various Detroit suburb pubs, he was in a great blues band named Mystery train for years but I see they changed the name again. He is a master all there is too it. His claim to fame was he was the guitar player for the Rockets, they got semi big in the midwest in 1982 or something like that maybe 81 they sold out 6 shows at Pine Knob now known as DTE concert center. Lol early 80's just when new wave came in and killed many great rockin bands. The Rockets had a couple hits with cover tunes, believe it or not, they covered the Fleetwood Mac song Oh Well, and they covered Lucille and had a hit. They made 2 LP's The Rockets and No Ballads,
