2013 Formula One Mercedes-AMG W04 driven by Aldo Costa at Imola Circuit - Historic Minardi Day 2018

- Engineer Aldo Costa, born in 1961 and currently responsible for the Project and Development of the Mercedes AMG Formula 1 team, took to the track behind the wheels of a 2013 single-seater Mercedes W04 designed by himself. The occasion was presented at the third edition of the 2018 Historic Minardi Day at the Imola circuit. Toto Wolf has provided Costa with a real Formula 1 team that prepared the car and followed him for both the track turns on Sunday 6 May. Nothing to say about his driving behavior, turning safely but certainly not slow. The single-seater in the 2013 season was brought in by Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, winning 3 races and 8 pole positions. The engine is the V8 FO108Z of 2.4 liters, variable power between 750 and 830hp. The F1 is equipped with Kers, semi-automatic gearbox with 7 speeds and a weight of 642 kg. L'ingegner Aldo Costa, classe 1961 ed attuale responsabile Progetto e Sviluppo della squadra di Formula 1 Mercedes AMG è sceso in pista a bordo di una monoposto della stella, la w04 del 2013 da lui stesso progettata. L'occasione si è presentata alla terza edizione dell'Historic Minardi Day 2018 presso il circuito di Imola. Toto Wolf ha messo a disposizione di Costa un vero e proprio team di Formula 1 che gli ha preparato la vettura e lo ha seguito per entrambi i turni di pista che ha disputato Domenica 6 Maggio. Niente da dire sulla sua condotta di guida, risultata perfettamente all'altezza, girando in sicurezza ma non certo lentamente. La monoposto nella stagione 2013 è stata portata in gara da Nico Rosberg e Lewis Hamilton, aggiudicandosi 3 vittorie ed 8 pole position. Il propulsore è il V8 FO108Z da 2.4 litri di cilindrata, potenza variabile fra 750 ed 830cv. Vettura equipaggiata con il Kers, cambio semi automatico a 7 marce ed un peso di 642 Kg.

absolutely, the first session of driving he has gained confidence and in the second has turned stronger and quite well. Always in safety. To be a technician and not a pilot he behaved very well on the track 😉👍

Aldo se lo merita, personalmente lo stimo molto. Minardi, Ferrari e poi Mercedes, una grande carriera la sua ed ha sempre avuto soluzioni geniali per le monoposto. Mi spiace che la Ferrari l'abbia lasciato andare...
