I have a bottle which I received as a gift so I do enjoy it from time to time, however the price have gone up a lot lately and I can almost get 18 year old single malts for that price so it's falling out of favour for me these days. But yeah I think the bottle is better looking than the Blue Label as well 😃
Blue Label has been a complete dud for me. Maybe I will enjoy it without my reviewer hat and camera you know. Because I remember having it back in 2019 when I was not so much into whiskey and actually loving it. So that’s kinda weird.

The problem with JW as a blend is that in the higher price range, the complexity of the whiskey is quite questionable. Till Green Label it's fine. Beyond that, i wouldn't buy any JW offering. I'm not sure if it makes sense but even JW 18 is just too well rounded for me. It's too smooth. There's no layering that requires a little experience to peel out. In the same price range, i'll probably go for Lagavulin 16.
Never bought Blue Label, never will. I'll instead go for the Glenmorangie Signet.
JW has done a really good job at marketing their whiskeys really well which other brands can learn from. The demand for JW is incredibly high in India but the same isn't the case in UK or other scotch/whiskey prominent areas.
I'd pay 8000 for this whiskey (750ml) and not regret it. Perhaps one needs to go through 2-3 bottles to get used to the refinement you correctly assess. Lagavulin is 14-16k as far I know. Signet I have not tried and I dont mind if I never try. I think overpriced whiskeys are not my thing at all. When I get tone-deaf drunk on a highland reserve or a teachers 50, I see no reason to spend 4-5 times more. F that.

Chivas 18 is good but I have something against its quality and taste which does not deserve the price tag.
