  • There are several reasons why Nigerians might move to Ghana for business opportunities and live there permanently:
Economic Opportunities: Ghana has one of the fastest-growing economies in West Africa, and this has created a range of business opportunities for Nigerians looking to invest or start a business. In recent years, Ghana has made significant strides in improving its business environment, with simplified regulations and incentives for foreign investors.
Stable Political Environment: Ghana is known for its stable political environment and has a reputation as a peaceful and democratic country. This makes it an attractive destination for Nigerians looking to establish businesses and raise families in a stable environment.
Shared Language and Culture: Nigerians and Ghanaians share many cultural and linguistic similarities, including a love for music, dance, and food. Many Nigerians find it easy to integrate into Ghanaian society due to these shared cultural ties.
Ease of Doing Business: Ghana has made significant improvements in its business environment in recent years, with streamlined procedures for business registration, reduced taxes, and better infrastructure. These improvements have made it easier for Nigerians to start and grow businesses in Ghana.
Proximity to Nigeria: Ghana is situated close to Nigeria, making it an attractive destination for Nigerians who want to maintain close business ties with their home country. This proximity also makes it easier for Nigerians to travel back and forth between the two countries for business and family reasons.

Yes, but i follow what happens in Nigeria, Nigeria is getting better economically than even before but i don't get why Nigerian citizens are still struggling and that is the same thing happening in Ghana as well apart from the economic aspect.

The Nigerian influx to Ghana in droves is practically unsustainable and how the clueless and foolish leadership of my country is not stopping this existential disaster for the country is just unbelievable. Ghana must do something about general influx of Chinese and others to the country.

There are 70,000 Nigerians "students" in Ghana and that was from like 2014. Google how many Nigerian students are in Ghana and you will get that figure. So that 70,000 refers to only the official population of Nigerian international students studing in Ghana universities that was stated by the Ghanaing government in 2014, but somehow it has stayed on Google as the number of Nigerians in Ghana. So that number is only the Nigerian students registered as international students and paying international fees. There is no official number of the non student Nigerians living in Ghana, but it will be few Millions. Now search Google for how many Yoruba live in Ghana and you will get 450,000 people. Google search how many Igbo people live in Ghana and you will get 72,000 , and so on for different Nigerian Tribes. These tribes have associations with chiefs in Ghana so they are givimg the number of those registered members only. If the Nigerians living in Ghana were officially registered with documents then we would no the exact number, but we don't because they are technically undocumented immigrants. So I will guess not less than 2 million Nigerians live in Ghana.
