- This video looks at the differences and similarities between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells - the two main types of cell structure. Prokaryotic cells are small, simple bacterial cells with no nucleus. Eukaryotic cells are larger, more organised and contain a nucleus. Plants, animals and fungi are all made of eukaryotic cells. Whilst there are several differences, all cell types contain a cell membrane and a cytoplasm. For more Biology video lessons check out www.anytimeeducation.com

Thanks for the help!
You're welcome!!
outstanding and easily understandable. a gigantic thanks Me Jeremy
Mr
You have said that Prokaryotic cells have little internal organisation thus lacking mitochondria as it is a membrane-bound organelle. Mitochondria can be located in flagella as it requires a lot of energy. Would this not mean that in a question asking which cells contain mitochondria you could say both prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells do?
+Louis Gillespie mitochondria are found in the flagella of sperm cells which are eukaryotic. Prokaryotic cells do not contain mitochondria.
Cheers :)
is that the only differences between these 2?
