He's really got the prettiest shot, ever.
I agree
+Tommy Cruz His shot is considered nearly unstoppable because he jumps to his peak before he gets off a shot
his releasing point is higher than normal players making it so hard to block
The most beautiful shooting form.
Agreed
+Michael yeahh
Ray Allen
+slipknoterman true but the way kobe shoots is magical
Ray Ray all day
One of the most smooth and perfected jumpshots in NBA.
Love that u watched and commented twice
@@diezombie6738 yeah, I never get tired watching Kobe. Man it sucks he's not here with us anymore. Still, in my eyes he's the greatest player to ever play the game. I grew up watching him play.
Long live mamba
Perfected maybe but far from smoothest. His high set point prevented him from being an elite three point shooter. He has a slight pause in his shot too. Still incredible but his shooting form is a bit outdated.
@@DoctorJammer Child, learn the art of the mid range and the advantages to a high release point. Steph is waiting for his weekly schlobbing from you. Go check the tape, Kobe was assaulting Klay and Steph on a nightly basis.
when i practiced this i became obsessed this shot is addicting..
time to practice...
agreed 👌
we talkin about practice
Yes we talking about practice 😂
Makes me cry how beautiful this is.
I find it interesting that Kobe releases the ball with his index finger, despite the fact that he holds the ball with the "V" formation. Personally, I love his shooting form.
He changed due to breaking his finger.
@@diezombie6738 to an index finger or from and what was his other release?
@@Jack51161 i heard that he used split finger instead of index originally, then middle finger after the injury
@@dickdad3297 Well if he was splitting before the injury he would have been using his ring and pinky finger. So he could have just changed it to index and middle if that were the case
He basically emulated Michael Jordan’s shooting form.
Thank you Kobe Bryant 1996-2016 this is his playing career
W8 KOBE'S DEAD? WHAAAAAAAAAAT!
+Tylerfucking1! he isn't that's his playing career
SSGSS_ Eli How do i delete comments?........pls tell me i can....
yes you can delete your comment
Tylerfucking1! So click the 3 dots then click delete
His shooting form is just beautiful, even all the way to how he drops his arms after the release.
:47 I'll never forget Kobe making that big shot on Barnes with the jersey in the mouth. Kobes done Barnes good multiple times
Afrobe Bryant everything he does is beautiful
Best shooting form break down I’ve ever seen. Coaches should be showing this video in camps and practice. Thanks for a great video.
his form is just like jordans. its scary
+TJ Not really. He's adjusted his shot to give him more space and easier to draw fouls. In Jordan's era, the rules were different. What would be considered a foul today wouldn't really be considered a foul back then.
It's who he got it from
***** Yes
It's way different Jordan has that Ray Allen follow through he doesn't really flick his wrist and he shoots from his chest Kobe as in this video the setpoint is his above head
Auston David Johnson um fuck off
Wow, that was by far the most in depth and also legitimate breakdown for a shooting form I've seen.
Big respect.
Pretty solid and detailed breakdown of Kobe's Jumpshot.
I like how you explain his shooting form in small details which is excellent, I am going to examine this video repetitively and mimic most of Kobe Bryant's shot. Splash Lab thanks.
It's really hard to mimic his shot but it's worth it if you do. Don't shoot threes with his form tho, only midrange and close to basket.
@@shayanasif8108 what shot form do i learn to shoot 3s

hi
Great vid, I'm a Kobe fan and his form has always been more aesthetically pleasing than other players to me. One thing I think is worth mentioning is at the 1:20 mark when talking about his difficult shots. I suck at explaining but he uses his right leg as something like an anchor where he intentionally swings it to maintain balance. I do the same thing and it allows me to make very difficult shots. It comes naturally but if some people don't do it it may help.
He does this because his body is moving one direction, hence his leg sways; this counterbalances his body so that he can square to the basket and shoot.
i noticed that too and do the same thing. i’m obviously no kobe but i’m the ‘shot creator’ mid range guy when we go to the gym and i hit difficult shots pretty consistently. the leg swing is hella effective cuz you can use it as a guide for your hip elbow shoulder alignment and as a balancing agent like you said. his form is 🔥🔥🔥
+Splash Lab thank you so much for uploading this vid, this is the first vid I've seen from your channel and it goes into so much detail. It's helped me improve a lot and your channel deserves a LOT more attention than it has
Great content and great editing! Keep up the good work!
His form is so nice
Keep up the great work man!
This video is really well done! I’m impressed. Thank you!! You break down each part of the shot well and found video to back up what you’re saying. Again… I’m impressed.
Knowing that its 8 years ago, it is amazing and helpful
He changed form over the years... I don't know how much sense it has to make a video like this
Incredible work! Keep up the good vids
I can see u becoming like a proshot or shooting mechanics kind of guy and channel !! keep up the good work
Defensive posture. Proper way to defend in an iso situation when the person is driving to the hoop.
Great work!
Great video man. You are great at noticing the finer details of jump shots. That Stephen Curry video is on point too.
awesome video very informative and accurate. and the video editing is great too. 5 stars!
Great job man ! Great video ! Thanks for it!
nice vid man!
the song goes along really good
This video is so dope I wish you where still making vids like this.
Beautiful and brilliant analysis
What a great video!! Wow! 💯🙏🏽 R.I.P. Kobe and Gigi!
Being a Kobe for almost 19 yrs. His shooting form is the most pleasing one to watch. Just very very smooth.
And we all know Kobe is almost a carbon copy of MJ. Occasionally I do spot some differences between the two, but most of the time, they are almost identical.
I'd love to see the same analysis on MJ, so we can see some subtle differences.
Great Job .... I appreciate your observation and deduction of his moves
Like i said in the last video, amazingly detailed.
Great work!
it takes so much effort but looks divine
Good video man!!!
Absolutely flawless analysis of a flawless shot.
Great video bro, its helping me heaps. Thank u
Love this analysis. New subscriber here 💕
Great job man. One of the things you "missed" was that the shoulders going back adds arc to the shot (sweep and sway), and for me to find that as the only issue is nit-picking. Great video and breakdown man. Keep up the good work.
Great detailed video
Good video man ! Really like it :)
Hi Splash Lab! May I request a breakdown for Michael Jordan's shooting form? I am looking for so many months for someone to analyze MJ's form. I like the way on how you had analyzed Kobe's form and for me it's great! I hope that you can do it. Thanks a lot. I can't really wait to watch it!
That was excellent - thank you! 💯
Nice vid. good depth
good video bro!!
kobe the goat!!!
This shooting form is my favorite of all time
OMG! I have been shooting like Kobe but didn't know that! Awesome!
Great in depth breakdown
Kobe bryant my favorite player i look up to him i always wanted to play like him when im i the nba
great video!!
This video help me mostly with my set point and release thx👍
You should really do a video on set points. It would be fantastic. Thanks for all the great videos.
nice analysis!
I think you do a really good job analyzing. It seems to me that you get the most force on the ball when the follow through does not produce a stiff arm, rather, the elbow is slightly bent and the wrist flicks the ball more than the arm pushes it. I would like to see which players do that.
Good video as always! Keep going :)
Every time I see Mamba land predominantly on his left foot after a shot I can only think about the achilles tear that prematurely ended his career. Kobe “Black Mamba” Bryant one of the greatest to ever do it.
Great vid man
Dude this is gold!! More shootings forms please!
Can you make one for reggie miller?
Very well done bro. I hate videos that just play music and never explain shit. This is boss well done bruh 🤘🤘
Great videos!
Was soo smooth
Thanks for your observation. Im going to try to emulate this and see if it helps me with my jumpshot!
Nice analysis
VERY INFORMATIONAL
Im inspired by Kobe🐐 probably more than anyone everything I do on the court I try to mirror it to Kobe. So much that I got his shooting form. And I animalize all of these videos to become a better player.
Great video
Something I've always noticed about Kobe's shot that wasn't touched on here in the video is that at the end of his release, once the ball is out of his hands. His thumb and index finger touch, like if someone was grabbing a pinch of salt. I tried doing this and It really helped the accuracy of my shot.
Thx this really helped !!
Really good shooting form.
Beautiful form
I love it thanks miss you so much kobe bryant black mamba 💜💛🖤
Great job
Hi Splash Lab! May I request a breakdown about Michael Jordan's shooting form? I like the way on how you analyze Kobe's form and I am hoping that you can also make another for Michael Jordan :) Thanks!
love him miss him ripl(Rest in peace legend
Daniel K I also started emulating Kobe Bryant's shot form. I am getting it down and consistently studying his shot, by watching this whole video 2x every day.
its better to use whatever you find comfortable and train that
Study the sweep and sway to get more arc. Kobe shot is 2 motion, so does Ray Allen cus they jump very high.
Jeremy Argha Thanks I got it down now my shot is now a 2 motion and more similar to Zach Lavine than Kobes. I put the ball right at my forehead not above it.
Student of Kobe24 no problem, my man.
I love this video it really helped me out alot next could you do Seth Curry thanks again for the videos
kobe look so sweet when he shoot and make the hardest shots
This helped thx
Kyrie Irving or Durant next plssss!!!
P.S. You're awesoome!!! You go so much in details like no other. Thx and also the video with Curry equaly great as this one!
This is the best video to teach me basketball
Very good video greate
This shot is beautiful and satisfying
1000th like!!
RIP Kobe Jan 26, 2020
Can u please do kyrie irvings!!!!
Thanx..and great job like always
yes do kyrie's shooting form
Jiradz eat veggies
Kyrie's shooting form is really similar as kobe's,but the differences are that the kyries elbow sticks out in the front on the right side and the ball is lower near the right eye.
Reply if I am not right
I hope I helped
Mamba out
Great vid. Where’d you find all that great footage??
M
his off hand is in a really weird position on the ball. he says that's his comfort spot, but when I try to do it, it hurts my wrist. His shot is really unique
Kevin Durant, Kyle Korver, Reggie Miller, Dirk Nowitzki, Ray Allen, Jamal Crawford shooting form, and Allen Iverson crossover.
Hey man you said you are going to post every week and it's been 2 months lol. You have a lot of catching up and these shooting forms should keep you busy lol. Loving the videos. Keep it up
hey Splash Lab, i was wondering if you could do a klay Thompson Shooting form Video? he has one of the best and prettiest shooting form ever and actually is a very good shooter... i would really love it! thank you.
you cant appreciate the greatness of the likes and kobe and jordan in fast motion but fuck man, this is poetry
very detailed man, great stuff. I subbed but looks like you aren't making video's anymore.
I wanna see Steve Nash, Kyle Korver, Klay Thompson, Ray Allen, Glen Rice, and Kyrie Irving. Great videos man!
I like how mentioned pro shot in this vid. you should keep making more videos, give links to pro shot shooting system int he description, and that will help a lot of other people in shooting. There are barely any people that analyze nba players.. luckily you and pro shot do. others just want to advertise their "Workout to become a BEAST!" kind of thing and its so annoying.
This form really works rip to the mamba I really can’t believe I shoot like him it’s an honor 🙏🏼
Even though his shot isn’t fundamentally correct, TO ME it’s still the most beautiful, most elegant, smooth shooting form I’ve ever seen. A lot of people shoot and they look a bit stiff and awkward, but not Kobe..
Just can’t explain it man, but no one can shoot like him, they can try tho
Nice video
