I find the charr dance is very well associated with the charr culture. The whole war dance thing. Asura and popping go great together too :)

As a Charr..it fits..cause you know..they are always tanks and alphas in their appearance and culture..but i would love to see them do the Carlton Dance 😂

My friends were all trying to figure out what the charr dance was when the game came out. As a Hawaiian I knew exactly what the charr dance was and I love it! Made a charr and mained it ever since

I think Sylvari is awesome because the style of dancing is spiritual aesthetics more than just to dance. Since they are just being born the dance makes a lot of sense. Norn are typically brutish but when they party they tend to drink.. and we know what drinking leads to- apparently, The Carlton! I think the pop reference was awesome. Recall the awesomenss of male Ritualist dancing like Napoleon Dynatmite, was freaking epic sexiness! They picked some memorable dances, probably some of the best.
i kinda liked the gw1 ones better....i miss my breakdancing ranger

In the control options there is an option to keybind "about face" which makes you turn around. You can use this while doing any emote (including dancing) without interrupting it! it makes you dance in the opposite direction you were facing at first!
Norns doing the carlton, that's just wrong and makes no sense, the Asura have the best dance, love it.

For all those complaining: I am quite sure that you , for a few bugs, can get a alternative dance via the ingame shop. Personally i think the dances are fine and some quite innovative ( Charr one ). When i saw the Norn dance, i was like "Oh my god i have to laugh hard" ( But i couldnt do because i was stunned by the confusion. )

The all of the dances are funny in airplane mode, but the Norn one is hysterical in cause all they do is wiggle about in place xD
The dance the asura do is called the golem. The very start, were they "wake up" is how asura golems wake.

Yes, but you can also choose a US server and guest with your friend who is on EU server, which will allow you to play on a different server as a 'guest'
Supposedly there is gonna be a vendor that sells more dances, from what I heard. So there you'll have more dances.

There's an in-game dance vendor, just so you know. We can't be too sure about it, but odds are there will be other dances available that you can purchase with gold/karma/something.
I love being a norn even more now that I learned that their dance is the Carlton

I'm very pleased with the asuran dance. It was the race I was planning on playing and they got, in my opinion, the classiest dance. Thanks, dev team!
I've found people to be, generally, pretty nice. The whole game is set up to encourage working together. Join a friendly guild (of which there are many) and you're all set!
Maori's are a New Zealand war-like tribe. The NZ Rugby team does it before every game and so do some of their other sporting teams I believe.

Totally making a Norn for the Carlton dance if/when I purchase this game. That's the first and only reason I need for a Norn.
Very nice Sylvari dance. Love the speed of dances. Not so fast and very precisely.

I think I feel more open about using human characters in GW2 purely for the fact that now I know that I can have my character start shuffling on a moment's notice.

What? have you seen it? The pandaren look both high and drunk while dancing, with robot like move selection with no transition animation. This is OBJECTIVELY better in terms of quality, I am surprised that the animator for the pandaren shuffle didn't get fired after producing that...

I got this game for Christmas and the first thing I'm gonna to is go to a place with alot of players and start a dance party.
love it nicely timed and should both male and female danceing of each race very well done,did'nt know the charr was the new zealand hakka, or that asura was actual poppin and the human one from a tv show id never guessed,never heard of Bhangra danceing though seeing the sylvarai do it makes me want to play my sylvariai again lol

I think the whole modern stuff is fun for fan based idea.
The modern quality gives a funny charm into the game and the charachters, even tho I have to say the charr dance animation could move more.
The norn dance is the greatest thing EVER.
The GW2 Charr dance does not read well due to the perma squat of the char posture [way more exaggerated than the Charr in GW1] and the over sized hands. What's done is done I guess.
I crack up every time I see a norn dance. it's wonderful.
Dances should be associated with the race accordingly. A big, mean, angry Norn shouldn't have a geeky, funny dance. >.< Oh, well. I'm looking forward to it! Good job, Guild wars 2 team!

I liked the Charr dance better when I thought they were rocking out to Heavy Metal and air-guitaring.

i love the charr dance. Learned the haka from some rugby players and seriously pumps you up. RAWR *o*
-The Launch was initially (A little) laggy, and after 2-3 updates there is little to no lag.
-AH is still being beta tested with limited amounts players having access to it, it'll be up soon.
-All events scale with player numbers. Last time I checked, I've yet to see an MMO that could replicate a full scale battle without fucking things up.
-Anet banned exploiters. Not their fault they care about quality.
-Wow servers choked and died first day.

that's not true you can buy xp boosts, but more importantly you can buy karma boosts, so if you spend cash you can gain 50% more karma than the guy who doesn't spend cash,
yes you can buy the boosts with in-game currency but you can also by them with real cash . :)
