    I've had this for over a month and it still sits in a weird place for me. I love using it with my ROG Ally or Steam Deck. But it thermal throttles so easily. Doesn't recharge nearly as fast as my other choices, and can't sustain two high loads or a high load and recharge, like the 250w version can.

    First of all, I want to thank you for the very clear explanation and video. TOP! Keep up the great work. Now, after you finish the test, do you use all those power banks, or do you send them back? It's a lot, I see. 😅

      I keep them all. Until they become obsolete. I then give them away to friends and family to make space for more. That way I can compare newer versions to older versions, answer questions, or test things. I appreciate the feedback. Oh, and check out my newest video. I just posted it. It shows this power bank and many others. :)

      doesn't make sense though - why would you power a Stream Deck with a battery bank? i'd bet money that they typo'd "Steam Deck"

    A 22-watt external battery priced at 20 euros can also be recharged quickly. Moreover, if you opt for an external battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, it can be recharged very quickly, in less than 1 hour, because 5000 mAh is not very long to recharge. Therefore, it is not necessary to purchase an external battery with 200 watts

      Nice!! It's not a terrible power bank. You gotta remember... My point of view is different than most others. I have a lot of choices. If I didn't have the 250w or older Anker 737, I'd be happy with the 200w.

  • @adriftatlas

    Someone on Reddit mentioned that the dock stops charging the 250W power bank at the fake 100% and doesn't continue to silently charge to the real 100%. Can you test this?
    Your video shows that the 200W power bank charges beyond the fake 100% using the dock. I found that the Anker 250W power bank stops charging at the fake 100% when I use an Anker Prime 100W charger with a 100W USB2 eMarked cable. However, using a 240W or 60W cable, or a TB3 100W cable, allows it to charge beyond 100%. Additionally, using a non-Anker charger also allows charging beyond 100%.
    It seems that the specific combination of the Anker Prime 100W charger and a 100W charging cable with the 250W power bank causes it to stop exactly at the fake 100%. My theory is that this combination makes the power bank think it's on the dock, so it stops charging as it would on the dock.

      @ThePigeon752 Před 3 měsíci +1

      I wrote that on Reddit. All three continue charging over USB C after it says 100% on the display. It’s actually at around 80%. I think it’s to prolong the life of the battery cells.

    I'm so torn. Should I get the 20,000 or 27,650mAh? I mainly want it for travel and charging a steam deck, phone, ear buds, iPad and partners phone etc.

    • @en-dooz
      @en-dooz Před měsícem +1

      For your travel needs and the variety of devices you want to charge (Steam Deck, phone, earbuds, iPad, and your partner’s phone), the 27,650mAh power bank would be a better choice. Here are a few reasons why:
      The 27,650mAh power bank will provide more charges for your devices, which is especially useful when you’re on the go and may not have frequent access to power outlets. With a higher capacity, you can charge multiple devices simultaneously without worrying about running out of power quickly.
      If you’re traveling for extended periods, the extra capacity ensures that all your devices stay charged throughout your trip.

      @@duaplex1 realize you already purchased, and I think the 27k is a great choice, but I'd also encourage you to look at the Baseus Blade series. The form factor cannot be overlooked. They disappear in your bag\luggage vs a brick form factor. I've been abusing one for a couple years now and it's been flawless. I use it to work remotely in the park (weather permitting) where I can plug in my phone to tether as well as plug in my Precision 5570 laptop (i9, 64gb, a2000) to approximately double my run time. This is for the 100w version
      If I need more time I use a Bluetti EB70s but that's far outside the scope of your original question.

      @wwjoshdew  Před 3 měsíci +2

      @@fejotore I’d get the 737 over the 200w. The 200w charges at 45w and the 737 can charge at 140 from empty to full. Supports 45w Samsung super fast charging 2.0 (5 amps of PPS) and the 200w doesn’t. The 737 is a much better option.

    What charger brick and wire did you use charging your powerbank

    • @en-dooz
      @en-dooz Před měsícem

      A 100W USB-C charger is recommended for the fastest recharge time. This allows the power bank to be fully recharged in about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
      The power bank comes with a 2 ft (0.6 m) USB-C to USB-C charging cable.
      Using these accessories ensures that you can quickly and efficiently recharge your power bank.
