Alot of folks are getting on him for messing up peoples names. Well they need to get over it because his voice on commentary alone makes it 10000 times better than WWE commentary in years.

This match was awful for me for this exact reason. Nothing the wrestlers did was bad , just no life in a no holds barred match with and empty arena. I appreciate the effort though. Closest thing we got to live sports right now.
Really what they need is the crowd noise, not so much the people. If the Sears were blacked out but you could hear a crowd watching it would be 1000x better. Someone needs to figure out how to record the reactions of fans watching these matches and mass broadcast those reactions in the arena.
You have to appreciate AEW’s willingness to give you these kinds of matchups on cable, with clean finishes. Very satisfying.

Well. Charlotte flair amd rhea ripley had a good match without the crowd. Kofi Kingston, Jimmy uso and john morrison had a good match without the crowd. Also kevin owens and seth rollins. So that's not really a valid excuse

It's someone who usually partners with a play by play (which is JR who calls the action) to give "color" to the atmosphere of the match

The rest of the show was done by Jericho and Tony. This match alone was just JR. I'm guessing possible health reasons.

Helluva win streak, man hasn’t lost many matches. Almost like Ric flair in the 80’s
thought the match was solid. or course it needed at least one more commentator and a crowd like most of the matches we have been seeing, but overall they worked a solid match. the hard hitting mat style (the ground and pound, and the the submissions and technical holds) parts I liked more than the brawling, and that's where Jake excels quite a bit over Mox, but Mox did his thing in that regard too.
I know Mox wanted to showcase his wrestling more in this match, but I think there should have been more weapon usage considering the stipulation. Not too much, but a bit more.
Damn shame 2020 is hitting like this but I'll take all the entertainment for what we can get out of it for now. Stay safe, y'all :D
I get what Moxley and Hager were going for with the match itself, but this match needed a certain level of energy and pace. Usually you'd get that from the crowd, but of course that wasnt going to happen. AEW made a mistake by having JR call this solo and for he made a bigger mistake calling this match with a low key low energy tone to match the match.
Agreed bad match to watch no physicality, and JR solo was horrible to listen to.

SAAAAME. After Ambrose has a solid 4-5 month word title run after a good amount of title defenses, Lance Archer needs to beat him. Truly is a rising star. I saw him in New Japan, but his character and being grouped with Jake the Snake just screams main event status.

As far as technical wrestling goes, this match was phenomenal. It's hard to get good technical wrestling anymore, however, it's never going to feel the same into the crowd comes back. I hope it's soon this COVID-19 shit blows over soon because it really is taking away good wrestling
