Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp founded Farm Aid in 1985 and serve on the board of directors. The three agreed that family farmers were in dire need of assistance and decided to plan a concert for America.
Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's Board of Directors in 2001 to help further Farm Aid's mission of keeping family farmers on their land.

+Mr.Sickboy yeah seen him countless times and I play guitar so I'm always listening for his guitar parts and he stops mid song playing without any change haha
I play guitar and piano and I've seen him live too. I was front row when I saw him and I heard his guitar was plugged in, but from farther distances it's hard to hear. At least his guitar is plugged when he plays by himself lol
He kind of is the boss.
