- I couldn't find this on CZcams already, or pretty much anywhere online, so here it is. Pumpkin Moon, an obscure TV special that aired in the UK in 2005, and was based on a children's book of the same name.
I'm not sure if this will be obscure enough to not immediately get blocked or taken down, but I guess we'll find out.
"This magical half hour animated special, which has been compared to the Japanese Studio Ghibli cartoons, is based on the book by Simon Bartram and from the Director of ‘The Snowman and the Snowdog’. Set in the American mid-west in the 1950s, it tells the story of a Halloween pumpkin called Zombie and a little black cat who must battle the pumpkins' sworn enemies, the witches, as well as trying to fulfil the pumpkins' dream of reaching the moon." - Hudba
This unlocked a very strange part of my brain I thought I'd buried forever
I seen this once, when I was about 4 and loved it. I'm now 17, and so overcome with joy that I've found it again!!

same, I was 5 or 6 and I was watching it... till this very year I FOUND it (YEPPY!!!). I'm glad that I found the film on memory lane.

Omg thank you, for so many years I've been wanting to watch this due to my old dvd being scratched, I am so grateful to have my memories brought back to me. I was around 5 when I first watched this and now I'm 18. Still remember the lyrics to the songs. :>

Although many commenters have said this before - I have to add how happy and thankful I am to you for uploading this! I saw this as a kid and was obsessed with it - but I never knew the name and have spent literally 20 years wondering what it was called. So happy to see it again!
I've been looking for this cartoon movie for like 14 years or so...i had only one chance to watch it on one italian kid's tv channel and i absolutely loved it. At that time nobody really cared about halloween celebration here in italy so it made me very happy, because i always had a thing for that festivity...

BY GOD I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR OVER A DECADE (I'm 21)!!! I had it recorded on VHS the my oh so "wonderful" grandmother wiped but for the love of me couldn't remember the name,I only remembered isolated scenes,the cat,the song and the witches rip I'm so so SO happy to have finally found it ❤❤❤❤❤

5th Halloween 2005
I used to watch this film religiously as a kid omg
I never saw this as a kid and I wish I had so much because it would have absolutely been my jam. Going into this blind was fun though, I was NOT expecting the cat to sing. Using her shadow to trick all the living decorations into thinking she was some sort of larger Halloween spirit was such a smart play, black kitty for spooky girlboss of the year.
I watched this every Halloween, I kinda thought it was a fever dream

Thank you so much, i watched it 17 years ago on a Slovak television when I was five and I’ve been trying to find it ever since ❤ I remember that I thought the moon is really going to turn into a pumpkin on halloween and watched from the window at midnight

Nope. Only reason I was able to post the first special was because it had a DVD release. I believe The 13th Kitten is available to rent on Amazon Video.

The sequel was never released on home media, and to my knowledge, was only broadcast once. As far as I'm aware, it's lost media.

We're moving house currently from the one we've been in for 25+ years so hopefully I'll be able to run through all the off-TV-recorded tapes we have any and one day I should find it. Maybe it's even on a very early Sky+ box...
