Testing out some new watercolors!

- Hey there! So in this vid I'm trying out these products by Paul Rubens that got sent to me by this company called Arrtx, which i'm assuming it's a brand that represents them? So yeah! I really liked working with these, there's definitely something freeing about trying out new products, and finding out more about them as you use them! I've had this footage for a while actually, I was just unsure how I felt about the outcome of this illustration, but in the end I decided to post it anyways, because at least it makes for an entertaining video (i hope :,D)! So I hope you enjoyed watching it and I'll see you in my next one!
Materials used:
-Paul Rubens hot-pressed 100% cotton watercolor paper block
-Paul Rubens Watercolors
-Royal & Langnickel ZEN brushes, sizes 1", 8 and 4
-Prismacolor colored pencils
-Talens gouache (the teal highlights i did in the end)
-Faber Castell Eco Super Soft colored pencils
-Posca marker, white

Baby pink is cooler, peachy pink is warmer. Pretty easy to understand if you know what color a peach is.
@@ayacyte443 why would I make my initial comment if I had no clue as to what I was saying? The cloth and the paper box the palette came in are peach pink, yes, the palette itself and the sketchbook are baby pink.

i personally can’t pull off mixing cold and warm tones on skin, so when you started shading with blue i was like OH NO WHY, but then you made the hair this vibrant blue and it fuckin POPS and looks so good together. makes me wanna experiment more with my colours 👏👏👏
I had a moment like that 3 or 4 years ago. I watching an artist named rambutan. She made the shading purple and I was blown away. I like cool shading ever since. Haha
I just recently painted something with watercolours. I'd always been iffy with them but for some reason, I just completely flourished at that moment.
I've been super invested in watercolours now and I think they've earned themselves my new favourite medium.
I strive to have your skill at one point

I love this piece, but I'm a little sad with the final product. The piece has a great use of color and a fantastic personality, I could use this as a profile picture! However, the overall piece feels lackluster mainly because of all that space on the bottom of the page that was just left bland and almost untouched. I'm also not a fan of the yellow highlight, maybe if it was a bit more orange, or if it was another color such as purple I would've enjoyed the piece a little more. I'm being a little nitpicky, but overall the piece is decent. Good Work!
