- Swarnalatha - born in Kerala in April 1973, entered in the cine music at the age of 14, sang over 7,000 songs in 11 languages, won a national award, Kalamaamani and five TN state awards - attained the lotus feet at the young age of 37 on this same day in 2010 (12 Sept) due to a lung disease. However, she lives in our hearts through her immortal songs!

My favorite lady music legend Late Ms. Swarnalatha. I like all her songs without any exception and all her voices are still in my music soul. My first AHAAA moments were/still are "Hai Rama" from Rangeela, "aatama theratoma" from Captain Prabakaran and "Rakkama kayithattu" from Thalapthy...mesmerizing moments whenever listening to her voice even today...
