    My favorite thing about Notion is how customizable it is, but that also means that there are a million ways to set up your workspaces. Personally, I like to keep things simple with Notion dashboards that organize all my tasks and content in one place.
    Here’s how I create simple Notion dashboards to organize my life and business!

    I am sorry but why are you the only person on CZcams creating great notion tutorials that are short and actually useful. Thank you!! You should start a channel called notion under 7 min. Who has time to watch 25 min tutorial ;)

    This is very helpful Galen. Having separate views of the database is so much cleaner than grouping. The dragging between copies of the database is something I need to explore. Suggest you do one on formulas that you actually use. Best wishes. Take care 👍

      So glad! I don't actually use a ton of formulas but I have been playing around with it more recently. I'll have to share as I go :)

    Thanks for the tutorial, Galen. I was wondering how many databases you use inside of Notion (or how you decide when to make a new database). For example, right now I have a Projects and Tasks database. I'm trying to decide if I should separate my personal content from my client projects or keep them in the same projects database.
    Any tips for deciding when to filter vs make a separate database?

      Great question! When possible I try to keep as few databases as possible in Notion so that things stay organized. For a while I had a team tasks database and a personal tasks database with the exact same properties so that I could easily drag tasks from one database to the other. Now I mainly use my team database and keep my personal tasks as a simple checklist in Notion. Unless things are really personal, almost everything goes into my team tasks database and I just assign it to myself. Hope that helps!

      @@LocalCreative Super helpful, Galen. Do you have separate databases for team tasks, projects, and content calendar? Or do you keep it all in one massive database?

      I am particularly looking for a setup wherein I can create linkages between my notes and reference documents and my to-do list or tasks.
      Basically, i am working on a project which has a lot of referense texts and research data etc. At some point they turn into actionable tasks. I want to be able to push things into my task list from my pages itself. @@LocalCreative

    The thing I'm getting confused about is how to I add everything to one master list when I want to create a set (or template) database of items? For example, a client will need the same set of items for branding. How would I be able to add that to one master database without typing each item to the list over and over again?

    • @LocalCreative
      @LocalCreative  Před rokem +1

      You can use Notions template feature for this. Have the template create a new page with a pre-created database with your to-do list. Hope that helps!
