  • Le Corbusier's Holiday Home at French Riviera. Famous architect Le Corbusier not only spent his summer holidays at the French Riviera, he built himself a little holiday home and a resort to enjoy the French lifestyle. Called Le Cabanon it's located in the small town of Roquebrune. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016, the vacation home is the smallest of Le Corbusier's buildings to make the list. Born in Switzerland, Le Corbusier fell in love with the Mediterranean in the early 1950s.

The mountains can be cloying, dark and cloudy... The sea is open and bright. No wonder he preferred the sea.

This is Euromaxx at its best! Luv the guide's passion for the legacy of this legendary architect. Ps I believe he ultimately passed away, just offshore from his little slice of Riviera Heaven.

I'm sure Niemeyer, Vilanova Artigas, Mendes da Rocha and many more would give you a punch in the mouth. Check their early works and be respectful of the masters of architecture (some of them brazilian, as I mentioned).

Looks like a horrible building to live in. Hey Corbu!!!! Humans are NOT machines. And please, if you are a sculptor or any other kind of artist, do not think you are good at engineering too. You very probably aren't. Or urban planning either.

Ok so what would you design for architecture?. Remember during those times architecture like this existed becuase they had to rebuild torn down cities becuase of world wars so le corbusier created an architecture that solved that problem, thats why many people liked him.
