- In this video I review the Buell Super Cruiser with the help of lead engineer Jacob Stark and Buell CEO Bill Melvin. The Super Cruiser is expected to be released in 2025 and I can not wait. This bike takes things to a whole new level in terms of cruiser performance. The bike was designed and built by Roland Sands and I think that says everything you need to know.

I absolutely feel Buell is poised to push all the competitors into the future like it or not.
I sure hope so. This is good for everyone!
They have been trying that for 20 years…. Still hasn’t happened.
@@Prosecute-fauci Harley handicapped them for pretty much all of those 20 years.
Definitely.
Cool bike but When you say "competitors" you must mean Harley Davidson, because everyone else was miles ahead of this decades ago.
I had a Buell X1 back in the day. The Harley Sportster motor in that thing held it back a ton. That thing is going to be spicy with 170-180hp
Love how they went to the parts bin with proven parts and created this.
'If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
@@throttleblip9854Yeah but it looks like exactly that...the wheels don't even match.
Dude I am absolutely in love with this bike! I mean it'll just make your sticker peck out. Every company making cruisers need to sit the hell up & take notice.
I think the only thing that could get me to ride something other than my current Buell is another Buell. Looking forward to when the common folks will be able to get ahold of one.
Something feels so refreshing about this bike, the cruiser market has been needing new blood
Making American motorcycles great again. Heck yes!
*MOTORCYCLES ARE GREAT ALWAYS*
When tho 5000 dollars preorder for no production bikes released Is stupid
@@adamnahtankyoulol3499 you did see they raised 120 million in preorders alone, right?
Yeah that's all great for the ones collecting the checks and stuff but the rest of the world just wants to know how long it'll be until they can actually possibly ride it and buy it or is it like playing a peniata game on ur b day but not getting to swing the bat or even swoop the candy up when it busts open 🎉😂
Finally a motorcycle coming down the pike that truly has me excited! Great video my friend! 😎🤙
You and me both! Can't wait to get my hands on one. Thanks for the love.
As a faithful follower of Eric Buell. Though he is not with this 2.0 version of Buell much of his engineering genius still is . That being said I certainly wish them great success in this endeavor. I owned and rode eleven Buell motorcycles from the S2 to the 1125 RR. Loved them all.
Erik …..Mr Faithful 😂
@tom serbaducci Im 67 Tom. I am allowed an occaisional brain fart
@tom serbaducci eleven Buells daily riders, touring and track days for over 30 years. Also met and spoke with Mr. Buell several times. Maybe that doesnt qualify as fairhful to some.
I’m just busting balls. Viva la Buell
@@tomserbaducci8559 i know
I hope the production bike is close the this prototype in specifications . Buell still have a lot of work to do to get this bike to market they have very few dealers and this bike needs to be street legal in terms of lights and emissions before they can sell them. I hope they can get this bike to market and it is a success it would be nice to have Buell back in production producing bikes that Harley cannot.
Truly remarkable. Supply chain, Service centers, and warranty are the only major foreseeable obstacles.
It seems that by keeping many of the parts & components Buell manufactured, the supply chain & production aspect will not be a major issue.
We just became a Buell Service & Sales Center, Beyond Psyched!!❤🎉
I love it but sadly mid 20's as Bill eluded to is way above what I think most will be willing to fork out. Should have made a base version just under 20k and the one presented here with the flash components as the "premium" sports model.
I have been dreaming of building an fxr for years and as soon as harley came out with the revolution max I knew something like this wouldn't be far behind. The thing looks like exactly what I dreamt to build! I wanna go fast but a chubby bearded guy doesn't look good on a crotch rocket! I'm sold!!!
Wicked stuff Blair. Nice to see you change it up. Some great insights and cool interview
Thanks man. I may start stepping outside of Harley a little and see how those videos do.
reminds me of the tuber/s1 days. I have a VROD and I have an xb lightning (i see my swingarm, fork, front wheel, brake, etc here) and this is an instant pre-order.
I have my deposit down. This will be a great fit to my garage. I hope it’s close to this as possible.
Here's wishing Buell much success!
Great video sir, really good interviews.
Much appreciated!
Thanks for posting the review. This is most certainly an attractive offering, sheer power for that size/price... but that mid 20's sticker price is high. Given where the economy is headed especially 2025 time this will be a tough one for most people. I am sure it will sell in thousands and there are some serious folks but clearly not for many. Its literally more expensive than a decent sized car. I like the naked simplicity of it yet sporty at the same time, but may wait this one out for a few years.
I love the fact that the Buell people were all in flip flops. Super cool.
Same. I guess we are at the beach. Maybe I was over dressed haha
It's great to see this. It probably should have been done 10 years ago.
10 years ago, Erik would have been involved. Erik NEVER would have built a bike based on his past. He looked to the future.
I'm a cruiser rider, and I would be interested in having one of these. I do wish the rear fender struts were more like the ones regular FXR frame, so people could more easily add sissy bars, as well as having more secure mounting points for turn signals. They made the triple trees, to fit standard Harley riser width. I also wish that the rear cylinder would not be hidden.
Finally something good happens. I am proud of you guys, and I'm definitely wanting to support an American product.
I can’t wait this bike is so much more than anything else on the market right now!
It really is! Hope they get back in the game and shake things up!
The stunt guys are gonna go nuts with this.
The exhaust has that signature John Britten look. If that bike really hit’s at mid twenties it’s going to be a huge hit. I have a 2020 Rocket 3 GT with a quick shifter that be a bike I’ll have to work my talent to stay out front or keep up with. 👍👍
Making American Motorcycles Great Again‼️🇺🇸
Love that slogan!
Pretty clever haha
*MOTORCYCLES ARE GREAT ALWAYS*
Last year, I stopped by the Buell tent because I was looking at possibly purchasing a “second bike” alongside of my full dresser. I was impressed by what I saw. I hope they continue to grow and can get a bigger “break into” the overall market. That bike might do it. If that would have been available last year, they might have sold me a bike.
I’m really interested in this motorcycle. Nice video.
You and me both! Thanks for the love.
BUELL Super Cruiser. Such a badass name! I need One A.S.A.P.
If they can price this bike right I'll buy one and I know a lot of younger riders will jump on one too.
If it ever does get built to sell it will cost way too much
That is so sick! Take my money!
Thats an amazing bike. My only hang up is the wheels and tires. I know why they went with sportbike wheels and tires, i am just too used to seeing at least a 19" up front and a 16 or 18 out back. With all things, i think itll grow on me. Now to hide away 25k over the next 2 years....
This bike is an absolute monster
My wife and I agree. It looks likd they took parts of every other bike and jamed them together.
Well you're not wrong. The swingarm and wheels have been used on Buell models before.
Yup I’m buying that bike when it goes into production no doubt
Got to sit on that bike during Daytona Bike week! They should've turned it on man it sounds radical!
I like it, hope they do well.
This is a harley killer!! This has what harley doesnt plus a lot more!! Kickass!!
As a so cal rider, I need bags, from the ocean to the mountains to the desert, in a day I need a place to stow my gear, and fairing QD options,
I freaking like this bike!
The CEO mentioned at the end of the video that they plan on opening service centers all over the nation. Will those centers be selling parts for and servicing the old Buells? That would be great if they could.
Simple critically thought out purpose driven machine. Buell is one to keep an eye on. Hopefully the bean counters don't trim it out on the production floor
You seem to be under the impression that Buell is still owned by HD, or has Erik Buell still involved? Neither are accurate. Buell is now owned by a liquidation company owner, that just happened to love Buell motorcycles. They are a cottage industry bike manufacturer.
@@dbc1dc I am not under that impression at all. I have spoken to them a handful of times on the 1190SX. The display bike at Daytona could end up trimmed down prior to full production to meet their target price point. That's all I was attempting to convey.
That pipe is absolutely insane....the entire bike is on another level...now, if harley puts its new 135 in the low rider st bike, buell gonna have a run for its money
the difference is swingarm and suspension, and WEIGHT harley isnt getting down into the 400s anytime soon
This will outrun any Harley on the road. Harley is dusty old fart beards
That pipe won't pass emission regs ...
Bit of a coup for you, fascinating stuff. I could really see you on that bike.
I hope you do see me on it in 2025 when it comes out! haha
Looks like they did the work and stripped off all the crap you don't need/want for you. Looks perfect
very good content. please make a custom Harley Davidson video review like this again
A lot of people are asking for that so I’ll make it happen!
I heard "plug n play" several times... I recognize that expression for describing Jacuzzis that don't require any special wiring? You can plug it into any 110v outlet and you're good to go? The main drawback is, the 110v is either heating the water? Or working the jets? Never does both at the same time!
So, naturally I associate that expression "plug n play," with cheaper & low-quality.
In all fairness, I would never use that expression while talking about a Buell.
get on the list people. itll be worth it.
Will these come with cruise control and what about options for adjusting to an individual as far as handlebars and foot pegs or floorboards as far as mid or forward controls?
This thing will dominate the super hooligans racing big time!!
I didn’t even think about that!
This looks like a freakin' frankenstein cruiser that is wicked AF! It's not a good lookin' cruiser to me but I like it a lot. High HP......... and who cares it's bad ass. A bagger? Sure! Lets see what Buell does when it comes to production.
I'm buying one. Probably the second or third year they are out.
I need this bike
The ball is in our court. Everybody wanted exactly what this bike is. Now it’s our turn to support this fucking awesome American comp u and put our mo ey where our mouths are
My future bike :)
Good Luck
I'm about two clicks away from pre-ordering but... why is the reservoir directly next to the heat source? why not outside of the frame or just.. away from the engine? I actually want to know because I fully intend on ordering one of these bikes. Awesome job. Awesome bike. Take my money.
That said, I worked in a harley shop in my early years and my first real bike was an x1 lightning. I've always rooted for ebr and he is without question onto something awesome with this bike. I'll order one regardless.
I just bought a brand new super cruiser. Its called an SV650.
❤ love this, how much would it be 😮
This could be a budget friendly alternative to the BBC Titanium
It was a mistake for Harley to get rid of Buell. But for Eric Buell himself, if he really wants to build a performance oriented motorcycle getting away from Harley Davidson motor platforms is the best thing that could have happened to him. Harley makes a great cruiser. But if you want to build a Performance bike that can run with the Big 4 japanese motorcycles or even a Triumph using a Harley engine platform is like shooting yourself in the foot and putting an extra 150lbs on your shoulders.
It was bad times for Harley. And they weren’t selling enough Buells.
2025 super cruiser looks amazing but I wish they would put the Buell Pegasus logo on the fuel tank.
I was wondering if you're where going to do a review of this motorcycle I absolutely love the look of the bike
I was gonna make a video of me doing the pre order and talking about it but then I reached out to Buell and they offered this so I thought people would like that a lot better. Haha
@Throttle Blip I really want to pre order one but just got me a street glide not to long ago
Make it available as it is. As an "Option"" You want to blow the competition away. Not cruise pass them
fkn fantastic
Buell please hire me I will ride the earth for you so the world can see y’all built the one and only super sport cruiser.
I hope there's an option for getting Leather Pros or something and a solid fairing when this comes out.
I definitely want some bags for it. My fairing isn't much bigger and it does ok for me just need a taller shield.
@@throttleblip9854,
The rear frame rails/struts should be extended, for bag mounts, as well as sissy bars.
Wow I Will trade my low rider s 2016 for that bike now
go boys
I hope a front sprocket cover is an option. Yeesh.
It’s a really cool bike, but it’s kind of a novelty item to me. If I was interested in a 175hp, 450lb motorcycle, I would already have one, they’re called sport bikes. Now if one of the new sportsters from Harley had looked like this bike I would have probably bought one already, but that’s 120hp, 500lbs, which is more than enough power for me. I still love that low down grunt of the big V twin and the weight of a big cruiser. But I definitely get the appeal of this bike. I think it’s maybe a little too outrageous for my tastes.
You make some valid points. But the bike isn’t boring.
sport bikes arent as comfortable..this is a sport cruiser. best of all worlds. you can go fast and carve canyons, and you can chill in an upright position and cruise long trips.
This is basically a Super Duke dressed as a cruiser. It's perfect IMO, especially if you can fit a passenger on it and get some soft bags.
Potentially, some high mileage guts right there.
Harley FXR without the ugly side covers!
Buell will be very successful if they produce this exact bike but unfortunately as we all know when it goes to production they change everything the epa regulations
i want this.
Does anyone know what engine is being used in this bike?
I have a feeling this bike is going to stay what it actually is...a look what we could build if we wanted to bike....prototype
Jacob!
Was thinking if the whole engine can be retrofitted to HARLEY Nightster or street rod 750.
nah. the buell motor is proprietary and was used as a stressed member. the width is completely different from harley frames as well. It would be very cost prohibitive.
What are the bar and riser setup?? Anyone know the height ?
The risers are from Roland Sands called the sector risers. Pretty sure they are 9”. I run the same setup on my bike. I can’t recall what bars they had but I use fly moto bars from Kraus with a 2” bend
Engineer, or engineering specialist? Big difference.
Will this sell in Europe too?
Where will the bikes be built.
Cool and all. But what’s the realistic projected cost? $50k?
Mid 20's
@@Chrisbea3981 that doesn’t sound so terrible.
Competing against some spectacular bikes at that price point though.
We will never see this in production unless a company like Polaris funds it , if we do probably be in the 30 thousand or up
How about a fastback rear fender with a luggage rack and tail bag. I need a bike that has some storage
I do too. I'm hoping they come up with a saddlebag option. Worst case I plan to run the Thrashin Throw over bags.
@@throttleblip9854 I just got back home after a ride today in southeastern Wisconsin. My buddy rides a few bikes, an R1250RT, a Multistrada and a Diaval. The BMW and Multistrada were in for service so he rode the Diaval and it was very windy. He had no storage on that bike I don’t even know where he put his wallet.
Use your car if you want storage or a van
Great bike. The only thing I HATE is they plastered BUELL in the largest font possible. I'd be looking for new paint from day one.
very cool but no way those parts on the bike is going to be MSRP for $20k, they will will ask $25K or more or cheap out on the parts
Far exceeding any cruiser , dude have you looked at or ridden a 2nd gen Yamaha VMAX , no offense but it would eat this bikes Ass all day long , it's 200 HP to the rear wheel and a monster , ride one and get back to me , I was absolutely stunned , amazed, and just overwhelmed all at the same time , This new Buell is nice looking , sounds good , but it doesn't far exceed all the bikes out there in its class , I stand firm on the Yamaha VMAX 2nd gen tearing this thing up.
We have are down payment in already. Should be a piece of history.
I did the pre order, hoping to be one of the lucky few. lol
I have one of these, called the Yamaha Warrior. Just down on HP
You should get the 2nd gen VMAX , it's 200 HP fo the rear wheel and would eat this bikes Ass Brother
@@josephwilliams273 My ZX10R takes care of those duties.
Good interview maybe next time stand behind the bike not in front. Just a thought.
We did in the second part. My plan was to use b-roll on the first part but I didn't have enough. lol
@@throttleblip9854 Good get on that new Buell, lets hope it comes in at a good price.
Throw some bags on it then dominate the KOB and make the brad regret dropping them back in the day
Club bikes are out
These things are going to sell like hot cakes. I really want one
You and me both!
Great bike!
It's everything a serious rider could want.
Proven mill, it's an improved version of a good frame design, good hardware too.
If it can be mass produced and sold for $17,500. It will rock the industry on its heels scrambling to compete!
Over 20 geez it's just an interesting pipe dream, IMHO.
I've owned and loved riding some Buells but couldn't age with the riding position.
Great idea!
Price is OK if they are not planning on selling many.
Any sacrifices to how it looks now it needs to be under 20k
Who needs that much power 😂
