    I bind one to be planted in rigtheousness and prosper in all one is doing in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ, while I loosen myself of every unequal yoke and common share with those not planted in rigtheousness and not prospering in all one does, in accordance with psalm 1:3, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

    I feel a bit torn this one. I LOVE Pastor John and have devoured sooo much of his preaching and answers with Desiring God...however, whilst I agree completely that we don’t all financially prosper all the time, passages like this certainly seem quite literal. The largest element here that makes me feel like financially prosperity and even health are part of this promise is this. The preceding analogy that the man would be like a tree by a stream of water that produces its fruit in its season and never withers.
    That certainly sounds like good health and success in life?

    • @williamnathanael412
      @williamnathanael412 Před 3 lety

      Perhaps. I do not think Pastor John will not disagree with you that financial and physical prosperity is included in this term. Yet there are some (or should I say many) influential pastors who put their stress too much on that financial and physical prosperity which soon leads to financial idolatry, hence Pastor decided to hammer it down here.
      I do not think the analogy works if read by persecuted Christians in the first century, or even in the 21st century in the Middle East. In fact, if you give your interpretation to them, they will be furious. They will tell you that you are unfairly questioning their delight in the Word of God based on their financial poverty.

    I'd trust a prosperity preacher than a Calvinist who preaches TULIP. The five points of Calvinism are not the Gospel. Doctrines of grace are not the gospel . God chose before the foundations of the earth whom He "elected" would be saved and sprinkled fairy dust on them efficaciously by a sovereign work is NOT, I repeat is NOT. Now I ask your who preaches a false gospel. Kenneth Copeland who preaches that the Lord takes pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. That the Lord loves and wants His people to be blessed. Is that a false gospel. Or is the one thats says God damned you to hell before you were born and you have no choice in the matter. You just have to accept your fate. Is that the true gospel??? I think not. Brother Copeland is a sweetheart and wouldn't hurt a fly. For decades he has had to put up with this slander and lies and false accusers. And now the world looks at us Christians as a bunch of nut jobs just like the politicians. Were no different. You Calvinists and reformed people should be ashamed of yourselve. You have no room to talk teaching some Neo Gnostic philosophy that Calvin drummed up with the help of Augustine...My, my how dare you mailign my brothers and sisters in the Word of Faith camp. Justin Peters wrote a letter to Michael Brown and lamented over Michael Brown not calling WoPeople malign, defame and profane the so called "prosperity preachers when they have no idea of what they preach or teach. It a real sham what is going on in the body of Christ. Please see the following links on Word of Faith teachers and preachers. Yes they do preach prosperity which is a Biblical subject from Genesis to Revelation. Please note the following links which helps set the record straight::

      Ask yourself why did Jesus and His Disciples suffer and die it wasn't for your monetary prosperity it was for spiritual prosperity that you were delight in the law of the Lord.
      “When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and when He was seated, His disciples came to Him. “Blessed [spiritually prosperous, happy, to be admired] are the poor in spirit [those devoid of spiritual arrogance, those who regard themselves as insignificant], for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever]. “Blessed [forgiven, refreshed by God’s grace] are those who mourn [over their sins and repent], for they will be comforted [when the burden of sin is lifted]. “Blessed [inwardly peaceful, spiritually secure, worthy of respect] are the gentle [the kind-hearted, the sweet-spirited, the self-controlled], for they will inherit the earth. “Blessed [joyful, nourished by God’s goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be [completely] satisfied. “Blessed [content, sheltered by God’s promises] are the merciful, for they will receive mercy. “Blessed [anticipating God’s presence, spiritually mature] are the pure in heart [those with integrity, moral courage, and godly character], for they will see God. “Blessed [spiritually calm with life-joy in God’s favor] are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they will [express His character and] be called the sons of God. “Blessed [comforted by inner peace and God’s love] are those who are persecuted for doing that which is morally right, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever]. “Blessed [morally courageous and spiritually alive with life-joy in God’s goodness] are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil things against you because of [your association with] Me. Be glad and exceedingly joyful, for your reward in heaven is great [absolutely inexhaustible]; for in this same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:1, 3-12‬ ‭AMP‬‬

      This is interesting about worldly prosperity✝️
      "For he sees that even wise men die; The fool and the stupid alike perish And leave their wealth to others. Their inward thought is that their houses will continue forever, And their dwelling places to all generations; They have named their lands after their own names [ignoring God]. But man, with all his [self] honor and pomp, will not endure; He is like the beasts that perish.”
      ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭49:10-12‬ ‭
