    Why would FDA tell Amazon to remove NAC from sale? I would love an explanation. One would be forgiven for wondering why something that has been a wonderful aid for my lung condition is being removed from sale. it seems to me that anything that could treat a virus is pounced on and disallowed or negative information is peddled about it. Who is pulling the strings here? And, for what reason?

      Hey, yah so the lung thing is brutal. Watch some Dr mobeen vids with Dr Paul Marik, they break down what they know regarding this sars2 version.
      You need to hit it hard.
      Once thru the flu part it starts the inflammatory viral load die off , for lungs and sinus. So I'm staying on the Vit D,C,A,K2, also quercetin, and NAC+2 x2. And I nebulized the NAC, I cap into ounce or so distilled water, then add to neb cup. Several times a day. I included a link for Dr's that are helping with meds such as iver and corticosteriods (methylprednisolone game changer) and Z pack. All necessary at least for me.
      I'm on the mend but don't let it settle in your lungs, look up breathing exercises and proning as well. Not medical advice, just what is working for me.

    As 4 year old child my family moved to an asbestos mining town. The asbestos tailings were spread around the town on roads and yards. It was everywhere. Since then countless thousands have died from asbestos diseases such as asbestosis and a malignant cancer called mesothelioma. My father died from mesothelioma in 1996. About 5 years ago I began to develop a condition whereby I was constantly clearing my throat. There was a never ending buildup of mucus and phlegm.. The condition was worsening over time. About 7 or 8 months ago I saw a youtube video on n acetyl cysteine and it's claimed benefits for lung complaints. I bought some online and began taking it on waking. It's a crystalline powder. I take about one to two grams first thing in the morning and wash it down with lots of water. It tastes very strong. It has taken over 6 months but I am very happy to report that the throat clearing and constant coughing has just about gone. I get that condition about once a fortnight and it lasts for about 30 minutes and that's it. Before it just didn't stop and sometimes I would wake up choking on mucus in my throat. I initially used a gram scale to measure it but now I have a fair idea of how much to take and as I said it's between one and two grams per day. I believe that it is important to take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Give it a few months and you'll be very happy with the results. I am now 68 years old.

      The FDA is trying to ban it because it can help treat COVID patients. It seems like they are really just trying to ban any alternative COVID treatments.It’s still available in many places just not Amazon. I got mine from Life Extension. Also some local health foods stores still carry it but it’s in high demand so they may be out.

      @Adixonnz Před 2 lety +3

      The FDA rationale is that it can be used as a treatment or cure for disease and has not been designated a “supplement or food” prior to 1963 when it was found to combat liver damage as a result of paracetamol/acetaminophen overdose. If it had been designated a supplement or food prior to 1963, they would NOT be able to do this. However, now that people are finding it effective for limiting the effects of Covid, they have withdrawn its supplement status and are classifying it as a drug……with many drug companies now scrambling to create a patentable version that they can then sell (probably for WAY more money) on the pharmaceutical market. It’s disgusting……

      People are thinking ahead. In the event of a long power outage we may have a family member catch covid, or just have side effects of the vaccines...which are the same as covid. Or we could have a family member with lung disease. More NAC. Go preppers.

    If issues with NAC it could be sensitivity to sulfites? Molybdenum defficiency can cause that sensitivity.
    A good multi-supplement would contain that important mineral and other ones like Magnesium that are important to convert NAC to Glutathione.
    It could also be defficiency in reduction of damaged gluthatione? Vit. B2 in multi-supplements helps on that too.

Would it be safer taking a smaller dosage? I see 500 mg and 600 mg capsules. I have the 1000 mg tablets. I don't have asthma and don't drink so no problems in those arenas.
