  • This autumn, Ian Rankin launches his new Rebus book, A Heart Full of Headstones. The first of a two book deal, readers can't wait to learn what's next in-store for one Scotland's favourite literary detectives.
At this Library talk, Rankin not only celebrates this exciting new book but also the Ian Rankin Archive. The Archive has found its home in the Library and several of its items will be displayed as part of a special exhibition, to coincide with this talk.

Just needed to write a comment because IR deserves all of the kudos which have come his way and there should never be a blank comment section under his name..either viewers are not commenting, or I'm the only one who has watched this fascinating video on Rankin's thought processes..kinda doubt it...

I have been an avid reader of the Rebus novels and recently read A Heart Full of Headstones. Unfortunately as of late the narrative is being bleached of its Scottishness. I haven't lived in Scotland for 60 years and like my Scottish friends here we enjoy the Scottish Lowland vernacular dancing through a Rebus tale. Give us back our Irn-Bru.
