Once we went into this one store and he asked if i'd been in there. I was getting ready to say no when he was like,"I know its a really white store (bass pro shop)." I was like,"its a hunting store. I don't hunt."
Then I remember coming across some really evil, racist shit, and for the first time in my life I thought that white people couldn't be forgiven. Were they all the same? It was the worst feeling in the world. I immediately wanted to run to his job and just hold him. This video is just so much.

It's May 2024, and I still say, this song makes a perfect wedding song while watching your wife approach you down the aisle.
I remember when this song came out. They played it over n over again on a radio station in NY 4th of July weekend. I was with my husband of 27 years the whole time. It was a great weekend. Sadly it would be the last 4th we would spend together. A year later I left him because of emotional abuse ( just couldn’t endure it anymore). I’m grateful for the good times we did have. I’m happy that I was strong enough to move on in life. I cried for a long time every time I head this song. I’m glad today I can listen without all the tears.
