If you head over to Bboy Dyzee's Diaries channel he has an episode on the history of threading in and out of footwork. Mr.Wiggles is considered to be the first to do a thread on video. Footage of this first thread goes back to the mid 80's I believe if not, that footage of Rock Steady park is where he first did them. I can't remember exactly all the details but he is considered to be the originator of threads in breaking. Which gave birth to Abstract and even the Circus styles that were popular in the early 2000's.
