My 1st bar keeps maxing. Its hidden behind you but for me its the leader and you didn't equip one. My rod and reel can handle 10lb test max. I'm using 6lb test but the only leaders I can buy are 4.4lb test. I bought a leader that is 5.6lb test but its grayed out and won't let me equip it.
I got breamer 4000 12.5lb with a telefloat it works but I got a taller fishing pole it won't let me put a hook on it. I brought the wrong fishing pole I'm tryin to catch the mad eye at lone start lake the fishing pole with a bobber won't cast far. Like the sinker quiver

Just means the fish you caught is small for your gear so you get lesser XP. Usually I don't worry about it too much with common fish, the Uni's and trophy's are where you make your big gains.
i hope this helps me i bought the dlc sport pack and the gold pack for ps4 because i know little on how to setup rod reel line exc. and the dlc's arent as balanced as i thought they would be so im tring to fix them and it is so frustrating
If you want more line on the spool use braid since it has thinner diameter than fluorocarbon and mono meaning you can fit more on the spool, then you can always use a leader if you like!
the problem with your talk is when your new im talking 1 to 5, at that level you arnt level or have the money to buy much at all i know ive been there😔
Love your videos & they've helped me a bunch as a new player, but I wish you would do away with being on camera. It would be nice to see your drag & bars, especially in this video. Also, having the gamer on screen has never added to any video IMO, it only takes away.

Personally I don't use them ever since I went to weeping willow and noticed very little difference
So when I buy a reel with max drag of 7 lbs and the rod is 7.5 lbs should I get a 7 lbs fishing line? Also how is that for a balanced setup?
Is there any reason to use a casting reel instead of a spinning reel? The spinning reels seem a lot better cause they cast farther.

I broke my line and accidentally sold everything not knowing what I was doing now I only have a rod and line with no money

Tarpon spots should still work just slower but some have said its fixed now

try to lower your drag. It will still wear out but slower
